Kevin Allen, an author with one book left on his current contract seems to be agonizing with writer's block. It could be because it's his hope to renegotiate in order to preserve his excessive lifestyle with his beautiful wife Tamara in Somerton, North Carolina.

In a dire need to find himself, and give him and Tamara a much needed break Kevin decides it's time to go home. CHICAGOING refueled and anticipating the streets he loves will readily turn out a much needed story. Kevin quickly reverts from that married in love country boy, to that thug down Chi-town Playa.

What's that Bell, Biv, and Devoe sang... That girl is P-O-I-S-O-N, never trust a big butt and a smile.

The worst thing that could happen while Kevin is enjoying himself in the Chi, is coming into contact with Yolanda "Yogi" Carter. Yes she's diva fine, a super freak, and extremely dysfunctional. Kevin + Yolanda= Disaster. With all of the people sounding off as to why not, the craving is too strong to defy. It'll only be this one time. A night of passion comes at a high price.

Sweltering excitement crammed with lessons, drama, and unfaithfulness. Darrin Lowery obviously has a very unique love for music. I can't hardly wait for the other installment.

Bestselling author Kevin Allen is in a slump. A writing slump. His next book will be the last book of his current contract. He knows that if he wants a more lucrative deal he really needs to bring it with his latest book. His wife Tamara suggests that maybe he should go back home to Chicago to get those creative juices flowing. Never in her wildest dreams did she know that that suggestion would be the first link of a chain reaction as Kevin finds his old stomping grounds to be a muse for his writing as well as his libido.

Yolanda Carter is thrilled to learn that her former fiance Kevin is back in town. She figures this is the perfect opportunity for them to rekindle the love they once shared. A love that never stopped for her. She's not going to let a little thing like his wife get in her way. Kevin will be hers by any means necessary. And if she can't have him, then no one will.

Darrin does a fantastic job of weaving an intricate plot filled with drama, deceit, betrayal, lust and revenge. Reminiscent Lynn Whitfield in 'A Thin Line Between Love and Hate' Yolanda is off her rocker! I loved the character Gladys. Very much looking forward to the sequel. Would love to see many of the characters return in the sequel or books of their own.(hint...hint...hint) This is my second read by this author. He's 2-0.

This was my first title by Mr. Lowery and the only thing I regret is not reading any of his books before now. He is truly a gifted author. This book has so many twists and turns you'll be dying to cheat and skip to the end!!!

I read this book over spring break and was taken with it from the first page. The references to Chicago are great. The references to how men think are great and the erotic scenes provide balance to the story line. This book gave a graphic look at how things go in relationships, in the hood and in the minds of young black men. I can't wait for the sequel. I was surprised that the author went from Darrin Lowery Smith back to Darrin Lowery. I have read all his books and I have not been disappointed yet. Keep up the good work!

If you need a good book to read this is the one!!!!!I can say I was blown away by this book and was so mad when I got to the end. I tried everything to prolong reading this book. Darrin has outdone himself on this book. Yolanda was a psycho and I wouldn't want to be on her list. GREAT JOB Darrin and I can't wait for the sequel.

Kevin is an author suffering from writer's block.To get his creativity flowing for the next story he heads back to his hometown of Chicago.His ex-girlfriend Yolanda shows up and from there that's when all the drama begins.All I have to say is if you haven't read it, you will not be disappointed.You will find out just how crazy Yolanda really is!This is my first time reading Darrin Lowery's work and I am looking forward to reading the sequel Still Crazy II and his other books!!

I have read all of Darrin Lowery's novels. I must say that he is doing his thang on each novel.If you haven't had the pleasure of reading any of his novels. Please do so,you will not be dissappointed.

This book had a lot of drama in it and I liked that. As an author from the windy city myself, I truly liked the book. I enjoyed the descriptions of the city, the way that the lead character thought as well as the storyline itself. This was a story about life, love, drama, infidelity and forgiveness. The love scenes were detailed (they keep your attention) and the mini stories of things going on in the hood were off the chain. The descriptions were written in a way that you could picture the events as anyone's neighborhood from the 5th ward in Houston to Compton to the Bricks on the east coast. I'm looking forward to the next book.

This book was the BOMB!! A page turner from beginning to end. Full of drama and suspense. An EXCELLENT read!!!
