3.0 out of 5 stars 3.5 stars for Bizzy & Layzie's 3rd album together
This is really the Bone Brothers' 3rd album together, their first was back in 2005, their 2nd was in Feb. 2007 (the one that's out as "Bone Brothers Vol. 2" was just a bunch of the 2's verses from other albums put together on a that album). Their first album together was good, this one is slightly over average (haven't checked out the Bone Brothers III album yet). Like...

Like all albums Real Talk Ent. seems to put out, it's short at only 10 songs, Bizzy has a solo and one song is basically a Layzie solo (Bizzy just does the hook). Production is decent and handled by Big Hollis & Preach. Of the 10 songs, there is no guests, 6 are good, 4 are ok, no great or classics though. If you're a huge fan of the 2 you might pick it up, otherwise I'd download the few real good ones.

I'm a long time Bone Thugs fan. This CD is off the chain! You will let it roll from track to track. This one will be in heavy rotation in my ride!

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of time and pretty SAD., May 29, 2008

This review is from: Still Creepin on Ah Come Up (Audio CD)
This IS NOT a BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY album; it is a duet album with BIZZY BONE and LAYZIE BONE. In other words, it's a BONE BROTHERS album. And this is the 4th BONE BROTHERS album and not the 3rd like one of the reviewers stated above.

No need to validate this CD with a long review. Why? Because 3 words sum up this CD: NOT TOO GOOD! (It's quite sad overall.)

This album is just not together and BIZZY, who was one of the best BONE members, just sounds sloppy with his strange new style and voice. LAYZIE himself isn't that either, but he's okay.

I've been listening to BONE since 93 (COACU) and this album does not have that BONE flavor. These independent labels need to stop using BONE's name as a money-making tool; it's embarrassing to REAL BONE fans. How can a company put BONE THUGS name on an album when it's a BONE BROTHERS (LAYZIE and BIZZY) album?

There are a few good tracks, but it's not worth it. Save Your Money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bone bros, May 13, 2008
This review is from: Still Creepin on Ah Come Up (Audio CD)
As a bone thugs fan I would say this is a pretty good album. It's just Layzie and Bizzy bone on this one. Not as good as bone bros 3, but a must have for a true bone fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid album (Bone brothers 4 really) but no krayzie or wish?? 3.5, April 5, 2008
This review is from: Still Creepin on Ah Come Up (Audio CD)
this has got some great songs on here, but where is wish and i know krayzie was working on "smoke on this" which was excellent. layzie and bizzy do smash this album up with "back in the day", "make it a double", "let me smoke wit ya" and "prisoner". there are some solid songs and some more drinking songs which i have not heard from the thugs really, so this album is for true bone fans. better than T.H.U.G.S., but not on par with "Strength" or "Smoke on this" by krayzie, Check this out, nothin to write home about though.
