4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD to listen to
Good CD. Just wish FFH would put more than 10 songs on a CD. I've been a fan of them since I was little so I always buy their albums.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Epitome of Generic Christian Pop
I have been an FFH fan from the beginning, though not always the strongest. I like their simple faith and catchy melodies and harmonizing. But this particular album just did not inspire me. Even so, it still has its good moments. The first two songs are almost embarassingly goofy in their lyrics, but once Jennifer grabs the mic with Track 3, things get moving...

I have been an FFH fan from the beginning, though not always the strongest. I like their simple faith and catchy melodies and harmonizing. But this particular album just did not inspire me. Even so, it still has its good moments. The first two songs are almost embarassingly goofy in their lyrics, but once Jennifer grabs the mic with Track 3, things get moving (Jennifer's tracks are almost always album-favorites . . . too bad she only gets two per). The next few songs hold up alright through Jennifer's second song (with the Title Track STILL THE CROSS probably being the best track on the disc). Then, the album falters again for its next two tracks (including the album low-point, the annoying ALL PART OF THE WALK). The final track is a love letter from Jeremy to Jennifer and, while a really neat song in itself, just doesn't really end the album very well - it seems like there is a missing Track 11. Indeed, 10-track albums just seem too short for the money to me these days when most artists give you 12 - 15.

FFH has changed little since their first album, and in a way that is good in that you know what you are getting. But with this album, I think the lack of depth in writing and originality in musicality has finally caught up with them. There really isn't a track on here worth buying the entire album for.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for it's genre, but lacking in overall musical scheme, January 28, 2005
This review is from: Still the Cross (Audio CD)
First and foremost, I have enjoyed FFH's music since their very first album. I had just became a Christian and it greatly helped me to approach my newfound Savior. None of their albums have touched me like that one but this album is very good pop, and that is odd coming from me as I am not a pop music fan. In it's genre, FFH stand as one of the very best, both with their beautiful harmonies and stick to your head melodies, yet in a Christian music scene that is growing in many ways it just cannot hold it's own. From the rugged and organic sounds of Bebo Norman and Michael Mcdonald, the incredible musicianship of caedmon's call, and the coolness of Third Day, I find myself drifting farther away from the FFH influence and in more adventurous territory. yet, for the moment, this is a very uplifting and fun album to kick back and listen to at the end of a tough day, as it constantly reminds one of the Father and His love.
