5.0 out of 5 stars Still Awesome Grace, April 13, 2009
This review is from: Still Just Grace (Paperback)
Charise Mericle Harper is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine! Her ability to articulate the thoughts and voice of a young child is impeccable. Her ability to use that limited child-like vocabulary in a way that is engagingly humorous while still presenting a wonderful life lesson is amazing.

In Still Just Grace, the empathetic Unlikely Hero begins to have jealous feelings when her neighbor and best friend, Mimi, seems to be gravitating toward new friendships. Just Grace is forced to be school project teammates with her worst enemies, while Mimi and her new BFFs spend all their free time working together on a project of their own. Ultimately, Grace learns to find friendship in unlikely places and that misunderstandings can be resolved.

Miss Harper's only downfall, if any is to be found, is that the covers are so distinctly girl oriented that boys will be unenticed to pick up these hilariously profound books. With abundant boy characters and classic one-liners such as "Booger Pie," the stories will appeal to boys and girls alike!

5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable read, June 29, 2011
This review is from: Still Just Grace (Paperback)
Adorable! I love this sequel to Just Grace.

In this installment she takes a 3-day vacation to visit her grandma in Chicago. Upon her return, she discovers that her best friend has two new friends. Not only that - but the student teacher has placed her in a group with Mean Grace!

This book takes about an hour to read, mainly because of all the cute pictures that accompany her tales.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, March 11, 2010
This review is from: Still Just Grace (Paperback)
Our 7 year old loves these books. Grace is her own person and is in that wonderful place in time that doesn't last long, when boys are just barely tolerable and the world is full of interesting adults. Sweet, very funny, and wonderfully written. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another wonderful book!, March 29, 2008
This review is from: Still Just Grace (Hardcover)
This book, as well as the original "Just Grace", are great reads for both the child and the parent. My 7-year-old loves the characters, the illustrations and the story. I also love the book. I hope more books are in the works for Grace...the stories are wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars A moving story of Grace's growing understanding of others, December 3, 2007
This review is from: Still Just Grace (Hardcover)
Grace has a wise grandmother who lives in Chicago, has empathy, and lots of imagination - but she wishes she didn't have a new neighbor boy and a mean school project partner. How can Grace make the most of her friendships and life? A moving story of Grace's growing understanding of others makes for a fine pre-teen leisure read choice.
