This band is so far down on the amazon ranking list that unless you know who they are you will prolly never see this review. That is the tragedy. These guys were great. They were socialist when socialism was considered evil. They were subpops idealists when idealism was dead (killed by nirvana). They were smart when when smart was a weakness (no one wants to hear about other peoples pain). They haven't put a thing out in years. They prolly broke up. i wish the world had heared, but thye didn't. You can order this now, listen to the struggles given voice for the last time since woody guthrie.
peace, you are missed IABF. RW

oldies but hardcore goldies,
By neva "the bookie" (Nouvelle-Calédonie) - See all my reviews

Twenty years ago, this band was the ultimate hardcore gang in France. They spent whole years touring in and out of France and Europe. They would play small venues, community centers and so on. The Sourice brothers (guitar, drums and singing) formed the core of this band that was to become the best representative of French hardcore. Unfortunately, they never became the great band they should have been for lack of a proper coverage by the media and because they were basically uninterested in going mainstream and selling out. I had the opportunity of seeing them on stage several times and they were awesome. Great sound, great backing vocals (the drummer) and a no nonsense approach to life that made them really great guys to hang out with. Anti-stars. The ultimate punk band with a real political edge that didn't sound made up to cater to parlor socialists. Anyone interested in the band should listen to this album, a great collection of their best tracks. The voice might sound a little weak sometimes but as a live band, they remain undefeated.

The political consciousness of the Dead Kennedys
mixed with the precise minimal pop of the Buzzcocks. Add in some foreboding harmonies spread all through. These French lads had all bases covered. At times, some slightly off pitch singing...but it's easily overlooked by the cohesion of their collective musicianship. They were really something else at the time. Very invigorating, pulsing tunes.
