Be Still and Let Your Nail Polish Dry,
This review is from: Be Still and Let Your Nail Polish Dry (Hardcover)
I love devotionals. There are certain things I look for when choosing a devotionals. I like the entries to be fairly short, but meaningful. I like devotionals that are written for women by women. I like when the book is hardcover with pretty paper, and I like it to be compact enough to put in my purse. Be Still and Let Your Nail Polish Dry is just such a devotional. This is a great everyday book for busy women who need some inspiration in their day.
There are 104 devotions written by four talented Christian women who all understand the need for a few quiet moments with God. Each devotion has a Bible verse and a prayer that applies to the text of the devotion. These devotions are personal, inspiration, and written in a light and friendly way. Be Still and Let Your Nail Polish Dry tops my list of favorite devotionals. It has everything I enjoy in a devotional book, including the pretty ribbon page marker. I highly recommend this book for the busy woman in all of us. It will give you a bright spot in your day.

I bought ten of these !!! It's exactly what I needed and I've shared it with so many other moms who devote their lives to their kids, their husbands, their jobs, their churches, and don't have much leftover for themselves. These ladies wrote the book and lived it, too. That's what makes it so real and believable.

I absolutely love this book, it content is relevant to today's world and it is very inspiring!! A must have, we have a Traveling Divas woman's group and it's small enough that I can take it anywhere we meet and have a devotional after a great time of fellowship.

I so enjoyed this wonderful devotional book authored by four of my favorite authors. Each entry inspired and entertained, speaking to me on both spiritual and emotional levels. I loved how much I related to these ladies' stories. Even though the book is probably designed for the purpose of reading an entry a day I rarely stopped at one. I just couldn't!I hope these four talented writers provide us with yet another devotional book. If they do I'll be the first to jump into the checkout line!

I love this little book!!,
This review is from: Be Still and Let Your Nail Polish Dry (Hardcover)
I can't say enough good things about this book. I'm not an overly religious person, but was looking for a book of devotions that would encourage me to spend a few minutes with the Lord on a daily basis. This book was exactly what I was looking for. Like most other women I am very busy trying to manage a career, family, and household. I have little time for myself. This book is a wonderful ending to my day. Each devotional is short but packs a big message.

Great Little Devo,
This review is from: Be Still and Let Your Nail Polish Dry (Hardcover)
The subtitle for this book is, A Devo for Women on the Go. That's a great description of it. Andrea Boeshaar, Sandra D. Bricker, Loree Lough, and Debby Mayne have collaborated on this great little book.
If you're looking for something deep and theological, this isn't the book for you. There isn't any digging through Bible verses required, though you can do that if you wish. But it's geared for women who can only catch a few minutes in the day for some quiet time. The book is filled with vignettes from the ladies, and something for the reader to meditate on during the day. If you're looking for something quick and light, you'll enjoy this little "devo". **I was provided a free copy of the book for review purposes, though I only post reviews for books I truly like. |
