very original,
By shawn (new york, new york) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Still Life (Audio CD)
after listing to dramatica's still life 8 or 9 times i've come to love it! it's very original. the songs are placed perfectly, so that they bring you up and down, sometimes you don't know what to feel. they know how to use their loud and soft parts. like in sense of nothingness, how it goes from complete loud moshy type part, to almost a dance part then the rest of the song is just a very eeri, very soft end to the song. they end the album with coffins, a song that starts really soft and kind of slow. you hear synth start to come in in an up and down type wave. the song has lots of parts in it, though it's a perfect way to end the album. they also put an instrumental song on it. it's awsome. it's great to hear a band like this in a world filled with unoriginal mindless crap that we hear everyday. i hope these guys go a long way.

Progressive Sound,
This review is from: The Still Life (Audio CD)
The virtually unknown band Dramatica has blown me away with their first album, The Still Life. The haunting lyrics and progressive sound is uncomparable to any other band, but similar in feel to fugazi and even pink floyd. The blend of angst-filled vocals, melodic guitar/bass lines, and powerful drumming would appeal to any lover of early 90's and 70's music. This is truly a rock album that deserves recognition. Bravo Dramatica.
