I saw Ana Popovic live two years ago and thought she was a great guitarist with a potentially good voice and would be creating some classic blues-mould-breaking music in maybe five years time. I was wrong - she's done it with this CD already.
Ana's Serbian roots have given her plenty of fuel for lyrics here and she writes well beyond her years on difficult themes: The anger that being treated second class because of your birthplace creates (`Hold On'), Third world poverty (`Between Our Worlds'), Our chance to change things for the better(`Still Making History').
Naturally, she lays down first class blues as expected - (`You don't move me', `How'd you learn to shake it like that'); but she also delivers great reggae riffs as on (`Hold on' and `Between Our Worlds') as well as delivering breathtaking jazz vocals, (`Doubt everyone but me' and 'Calenders')
This is an exceptional work from an exceptional talent.

Ana has demonstrated in all her albums the quality and essence of true rock singers and musicians. Still making history is quality music.
She belts it out with her singing and guitar playing. I believe her market demographics would love to hear even stronger guitar licks emphasizing her influences from Hendrix, Stevie Ray, Van Halen
Its amazing that she wasn't born and bred in the U.S. because she has got it all the way!!

WOW!!! What a great album! Not only a superb singer and songwriting but an immense natural beauty... not to mention her virtuosic guitar skills. Ana Popovic is a singular talent and this, her US debut, is her finest work to date. She tackles issues such as politics, perserverance and more on this extremely eclectic album. One of the best surprises of this year, I would recommend this album to just about anyone. Ana Popovic's Still Making History is one of the finest pop/rock releases of the year and it proves Ana's potential for superstardom!!!

Saw Ana at Misicfest in Bethlehem Pa. last month. She put on a great show and this is an excellent representation of what she can do. She puts a slightly different spin on the Blues-Rock genre. Highly recommended !

Ana is THE female guitarist! She has honed her craft to the point of being counted as one of the best guitarists of our time. She's not a metal head or thrasher, what she brings to the table is good, clean guitar playing with some nice chops thrown in. She is classified as a blues player but can rock when needed. She's great in concert also. Her live album is actually a bit tame. Try out this one first. So far, it's her best. I've seen her live and she puts on a good show so I don't know why I don't like the live album.

Not only is Ana great looking.She has a great voice as well.If that isn't enough she is a dymamo when it comes to her playing.BUY IT!.You will not be sorry

Usually, I listen mostly to hardcore metal and glam rock, but few years ago I've noticed a record with a very attractive girl on the cover, sat beside a fender stratocaster. It was Hush by Ana Popovic. Back home, when I put the record in my player I became a fan for life after few minutes. Ana simply drove me to the best of blues, Jazz and Rock music. After Comfort To The Soul, a jewel as well, Still Making History is her third studio album (maybe the fourth, I think she recorded one a long time ago but never found trace of it). I already think that's her best album and if you don't know her it's a very easy way to fall in love with her music. After that you won't be long before beeing in a rush to buy the others one. If you love great guitar players, don't go further, she's probably the best guitar player I've ever seen, and she's such a singer as well, a very strong voice, and even if, like me, you're not a blues or jazz fan,you'll change your mind definitely. If she's coming in your town, don't miss her, I've seen her once on stage, and that was such an experience, and at the end of the concert, don't go away to quickly, Ana loves to meet her fans and to have a chat. Hope to see her again very soon.

Ana I'd bang you like the thunder just before a beautiful summer rain. Of course I'd make sure your guitars were safely covered up in their cases first so they won't get wet as well. I'll keep everyhing protected and wet where they need to be.

Ana is another Artist I was skeptical of, I thought she was hype because of her connections
Well I chokker on that one. I think I have all of her CD's made now.
This lady does noth bad or half asses,

She is not living on her friends reputation as I first thought.
She is just good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
