4.0 out of 5 stars Chloe's Back!, February 10, 2008
This review is from: Still a Mistress: The Saga Continues (Paperback)
It is one year later and Oshyn is still trying to move on with her life after the tragic death of her family. She's now raising her three-month-old son Mye and her deceased friend Apple's daughter Bella. Oshyn think she has it all together until her sister Chloe comes back into the picture. Chloe blames Oshyn for all of her problems and will stop at nothing to destroy Oshyn's life forever. But Chloe's past catches up to her as a man from her past shows up wanting revenge. Will Oshyn finally get the peaceful drama free life she's longed for or will Chloe destroy her?

Still A Mistress is the perfect sequel to The Millionaire Mistress by Tiphani. Tiphani did a good job of pulling readers back into the chaotic world of Oshyn and Chloe. You will really feel for Oshyn as she struggles to get on with her life and raise two children on her own. If you thought that Chloe was scandalous in the first book, you will find that was just the tip of the iceberg after reading this story. Chloe is truly a psychotic villain that you love to hate. Over-the-top drama, murder, and mayhem make Still A Mistress a true page-turner.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sibling Rivalry, January 2, 2008
This review is from: Still a Mistress: The Saga Continues (Paperback)
APOOO Rating: 4

Still A Mistress by Tiphani picks up a year after the confrontation with Chloe and Oshyn. Chloe vows to get revenge on her sister, Oshyn. Chloe still believes that Oshyn owes her for everything that she lost, her mother, her baby, the man she loved, and her chance for

happiness. She quickly devises a plan to take her sister down to the point of nothing, causing her to lose everything that she has worked for.

It has been a year since the tragic deaths of her best friend, Apples, and Oshyn's oldest son, Micah. Oshyn is trying to put her life back together and raise her infant son, Mye, and her best friend's daughter, Bella. Then one day out of the blue, the unthinkable

happens. The FEDS come in and seize everything she owns--her homes, her business, and her properties. At that moment, Oshyn's life begins to spin out of control. Where will she go as things fall apart?

Still A Mistress is a page-turner. This book is filled with so many plot twists and turns that it will leave you guessing what will happen next. The story is well-written and allows you to get wrapped up in the lives of both Chloe and Oshyn. Even though this is a sequel, it can be read alone, but it is much better if you read A Millionaire Mistress first. That way you can truly understand what is happening. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys drama.

Chloe is back and crazier than ever. Chloe escapes death in the first novel and now is back for revenge against everyone she thinks has wronged her. Oshyn is trying to put her life back together after the betrayal of her sister and Husband. This book is full of twist and turns. Still a Mistress is an alright sequel but doesn't compare to the first book it was just too much madness and deceit.

4.0 out of 5 stars About Damn Time, March 14, 2011
This review is from: Still a Mistress: The Saga Continues (Paperback)
Although I enjoyed the first edition more, this sequel was still pretty good.

Pros: Driven initially by greed and jealousy, Chloe's psychotic nature finally breaks through and there is no inhibition in or limit to her actions at this point.

In part one, she shattered Oshyn's world by eliminating those Oshyn loved most. In this sequel, she plans to finish her destruction of Oshyn's life by removing the remainder of Oshyn's love ones along with destroying the things Oshyn work so hard to achieve.

Chloe's ruthful behavior also extends to anyone she feel is standing in the way of her ultimate goal as well as to those who has disrespected her. As a result, in this sequel, she is seen stripping the manliest of men of their manhood's in unimaginable ways.

Additionally, Chloe's delusional mindset seems to have attracted even crazier people than her. There are those who would do anything to get that high, including sodomizing men and those who only become aroused by children and those that are in vegetative states.

Moreover, the highlight of this sequel is Chloe's karma, as she has weaved so many webs that they eventually became entangled with no way to get out. New enemies seek her blood, while old ones want her soul. Unbelievably though, there is one enemy that is so unexpected that it makes you shiver with excitement and sad all at the same time (you will understand when you get to the end).

Cons: The story was drawn out at times with scenes and people that could have been left out. It seems as if the author just added pages to meet a requirement. It just took too long to get to interesting scenes.

Oshyn really did not need to even be a main character in this sequel. She really did not add any significance to the sequel other than being her crazy sister's target. A lot of the parts that could have been left out pertain to her and was quite dreadful to read.

All in all, still a good read. Despite the lows, the highs made up for them.
