"Yin Yang Tattoo is a very suspenseful read. The protagonist draws your sympathy well as he quickly becomes a man stuck between a rock and a hard place. The characters being the book's strong point, I'd read another offering by McMillan if they returned."
"I'm the reader/ movie goer who is sometimes more interested in the alternatives than the execution. What makes BAD THINGS HAPPEN so interesting is the central cast is a group of mystery writers, a man with a mysterious past and a detective. All whose stock in trade is seeing the alternatives. It was a challenging read and never predictable."
"Smoked has a retired explosives expert, an aging hit-man, two pretty young women and all the people who want to kill them. It moves at a breakneck pace filled with car chases, shootouts and knock down, drag out fights that never disappoint. Looking for more by Quinlan. A follow-up maybe?"
"As a longtime Vachss fan I have to echo some of the other reviews I've read on Haiku. Haiku lacks the immediacy, the grit, the tension and sometimes pure shock factor of many of Vachss previous works. This selection was a fast and regrettably forgettable read."
"Probably the most in depth book you'll read on the history of hip-hop. Through following the money you meet the persons responsible for the development ant growth of hip-hop from the beginning to now."
"GREAT BOOK! I'm a fan of the Infamous and wondered how much could actually be told about these artists that doesn't involve much of their musical subject matter. Prodigy covers many bases and pulls back the curtain on Mobb Deep telling an entertaining rags to riches, story of personal redemption."
