5.0 out of 5 stars Very moving and inspiring, April 29, 2009
This review is from: I Still See Her Haunting Eyes: The Holocaust & a Hidden Child Named Aaron (Paperback)
I purchased this book from the author at the opening of the new Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center (he is on the Board of Directors). The story is told from his perspective as a child who survived WWII in Poland under horrendous circumstances. Yet, as heartbreaking as the story is, you will be energized after reading it; inspired to do something to pass the story on, to make a difference. That is a lot to accomplish in a short book (the main story is less than 130 pages including some wonderful photographs and illustrations). That it is such a personal story, told with passion and honesty, adds to its impact. The book concludes with a question/answer section and listings of resources, including the author's website (aaronelster dot com).
