I came across these new 18 yr old artist on the Mother Jones website of all places. The site (Mother Jone In Tune) lets you sample many new artists. I listened to a few with Setara being one of them. I didn't care enough for the others but when I got to Louise Setara it was different. I think she is really good and not in an american idol way, either. She has a breathy kind of singing that a promo site of her's describes as "soulful" and "gospel tinged." Maybe, that and a heavy dose of heart (and every once in awhile a bit of good country). Really nice lyrics that's for sure. I don't know if she writes her own work. Anyhow, she's got a MySpace with samples on it (like everyone else). Check it out. I highly recommend this lady.

I heard this CD playing in a store. I was so taken with it, I asked the clerk what it was. As soon as I got home, I ordered it. I love it! Just about worn it out. She has a sound similar to Nora Jones, but with more energy. Several new songs/arrangements that are mezmering. You won't be disappointed. I just ordered a copy for my sister. Can't wait for Louise's second album. I wish she would tour the U.S.

Louise Setera is one of the many musicians on my friends list at Myspace. I love all kinds of music and I enjoy listening to new artists. She absolutely took my breath away....her voice is really something special. I adore the "soulful spin" she puts on older songs, she really makes them her own. Her CD won't be ejected from my CD player any time soon. I expect we will be hearing a whole lot more from Ms. Setara in the days to come.

A real nice cd and this woman can sing...buy this one... she's great... no filler junk on this one...ENJOY!
