5.0 out of 5 stars The Maestro Legacy "STILL....LIVES", April 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Still (Audio CD)
The Thomas Whitfield Company has truly kept the faith and has still adhered to the teachings of their founder. This collage of medleys start with a beautiful rendition of "Oh, Hallelujah" named "There's a Praise Still Ringing", then to the masterpiece " Blessed Be The Ties". I applaude the president Donna Harris and the selection of great musicians and artists who helped to put this project together. I am truly a fan, and am in no way dissapointed in this music that is "In The Air". Peace be unto each listener of this project.

5.0 out of 5 stars There's Nothing Even Close, June 10, 2002

There are a lot of great singers. There are phenomanal musicians. There are some extraordinarily gifted musical directors. There are gospel and contemporary christian artists who have sold millions of albums. However, you will be hardpressed to find a choir with the rich history and Davidic praise and worship power and integrity as this one.

Though a couple of years old, like much of the music from the man affectionately dubbed "The Maestro," it is still lasting in effect and quality. Perhaps this is why their latest body of work is called "Still."

For those of you who, like me, have been touched by this incredible gift to the music world (and who don't mind actually SAYING Jesus), you will feel like someone handed you a glass of iced tea and sat you on a porch swing during a warm summer night. For others who have found this treasure by accident, you are in for a treat.

There are probably 3-4 choirs which can approach the lyricism and vocal dominance of this choir with it's heavenly vocal virtuosity. But MAYBE there's one, like them, which can offer a complete set of near-perfect praise. That choir has connections to this one. C'est lavie. Bon apetite!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Maestro's Legacy lives on...., June 24, 2005

Thomas Whitfield has made such an impact on me as a musician, and this CD contains the "Whitfield Sound" the Company has long been known for. I remember hearing the cut "Blessed Be The Ties That Bind", and it gave me chills! It seems to me that was the last musical message Tommy left for us to experience. If you love contemporary choral sound w/a traditional/contemporary feel, this CD will certainly bless and minister to your spirit!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Project! The Gospel World Has Been Waiting Too Long!, July 9, 1998

This project has been a long time coming. It's material is reminiscent of who Thomas A. Whitfield was. This project will remind the listener of how much the Maestro has had a profound affect on Christian Music. The project was produced with the greatest of integrity in preserving the sound and style of Thomas A.Whitfield. At times the listener will think that they are hearing the Maestro himself! This project is a must for all " Whitfield Fans" and gospel music lovers alike. Some of the songs that will capture you are "Hold on, Don't Give up, It's Above My Head, and the Lest We Forget Medley." These tunes were freshly done and will incite hope, joy and peace. The musicians and soloist are top notch. The sound of this project speaks, "welcome home Rudolph Stanfield." Daryl Coley and Vanessa Bell Armstrong's sweet lyrical vocal ability tops off this project's magnificient flavor. If you want to experience the power and presence of God, purchase this project, it is well worth it's price.
