From the supplier: The husband-and-wife comedy team Jerry Stilla and Anne Meara have been hired to appear in television commercials supporting a single-payer health care reform proposal sponsored by US Rep Jim McDermott (D-WA). The commercials are being made to counter the Health Insurance Assn of America's 'Harry and Louise' ads that have successfully raised public doubts about Pres Clinton's health care reform plan. Among the groups sponsoring the Stilla and Meara ads are Public Citizen's Congress Watch, Neighbor to Neighbor and Single Payer Across the Nation.
