I ordered Stimerex Es by Hi Tech Pharmaceuticals. I found these pills offered from other sellers for a few bucks cheaper. However, Hi Tech Pharmaceuticals was the only one I could find that contained ephedra. The bottle in the picture they use is labeled Stimerex-ES (extra strength w/25 mg Ephedra Extract). What arrived to my home was only labeled Stimerex-ES (Extra Strength Stimulant). I have found that the versions without ephedra dont have nearly the weightloss effect as the versions that do. Hi Tech Pharmaceuticals used the old bait and switch on me. I assume they do this to everyone hoping that the consumer will be none the wiser. I have returned the product and will no longer order from them; as they can't be trusted. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

So I waited a few days, and have taken a few of these before writing my review. First, let me state that this product will not be for everyone. Like any supplement, not only will people have different reactions to the product, but it also can be dangerous if used improperly.

First, the limitations of the product. Like any of the "thermo" type diet products, the actual weightloss induced by the product is minimal; it will increase your metabolism, but I'd say only enough to maybe burn 100 calories extra per day (hey, that's the same as Alli, so not too bad). Don't expect miracles with the product, and DO NOT think that you can increase the weight loss effects by taking higher dosages; that's how Ma Huang originally got pulled, yes if you exceed dosage you may very well die; I'm not going to test that out for you, but please follow the directions and use responsibly.

There's also not a heck of a lot of "appetite suppressant" in this; you may have a placebo effect and eat less, but again, don't expect miracles.

So, why then would I give this product a good rating? Well, for my personal use, I would easily give it 5 stars, but I figured since most are expecting weightloss properties I'd knock it down to 4. This thing is energy in a bottle for me. Let me start off by saying I always take less than recommended. I only use half a pill a day; I'd recommend those at home do the same, at least for a week until they know how their body reacts to this.

I was a former Ma Huang user, and it was great. I loved it, but due to recklessness, people didn't follow directions, and there were unfortunate and avoidable deaths; this caused the product to get banned. I've tried others such as a pure "bitter orange" supplement and it made me sick. I got hot, and I felt itchy, like there were ants crawling under my skin. I've used others, but none really were that effective. Caffeine's great, but eventually it made me somewhat sick taking somewhat higher dosages, and would make myself sick without much beneficial effects. I've used Green Tea extract and all those energy drinks, and they really didn't do anything. I liked 5 hour energy, but they are really pricey for moderate effects. For people like me who have been looking for a Ma Huang replacement, this may just fit the bill!

The only thing I really wish was different about this product would be a divider in the pills, since the pills are made "whole" and are difficult to split in half; its easy enough with a knife and some pressure (or a pill cutter), but I'd prefer if you could do it with your fingers.

Also, I have combined or "stacked" half-dosages with a green tea/caffeine supplement (green tea extract is pretty safe; I believe this already has a green tea extract, but I only take half dosages of this product), and it gave GREAT results. I have energy to actually go workout, but I don't feel jittery or nervous. Its not quite as much energy as old Ma Huang stacks, but its better than most products out there.

This product works great for me; others may not have the same experience. Do yourself a favor though, start slowly, and don't take on an empty stomach!

There are reports some may be getting an incorrect product. I'm curious to see if the manufacturer, Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, has indeed removed Ephedra from the Stimerex-ES blend, or if others are receiving an incorrect product. I've uploaded 2 pictures, one being the tablet shape, and the other showing the correct bottle of Stimerex-ES. If you receive an incorrect product, try contacting the manufacturer first. If they cannot correct it, please contact Amazon customer service, and feel free to send them to this page to see the confusion about the products. I'm sure they'll make it right, haven't had them let me down yet!

Hmm, so it seems they removed my images with the correct product label, so that leads me to think that they are discontinuing having Ephedra in the ES product, and are doing it quietly. Seems somewhat messed up to me, since that was the entire reason I, and many others, ordered this product. At this point, I don't think I can recommend this product anymore, and am removing a star, since that seems pretty sketchy. I'd love to bring back a better rating, but I'd need to hear from the manufacturer about this whole removing a main ingredient from their product and not informing their consumers.

The shipping was relatively slow but the product is amazing! I love it, highly recommended.

Stimerex is fantastic to gain energy before workout. Just take one before breakfast and you are ready to spend the hole day with lots of good energy. It don't depress and your sleep is calm and confort.

I searched on Amazon for Stimerex-ES with Ephedra.It took me to a page with a picture of a bottle of Stimerex-ES. Do to the image size, I was unable to read the smaller print, under Stimeres-ES. I clicked on enlarge image, but I was informed this option was not available, for this image. I also tried to check the ingredients, but the site didn't provide this information. I went ahead and placed my order. When I received my order, I found that it didn't contain 25mg of Ephedra, which I was led to believe, I had ordered.
I went back to the site and sent a request to Amazon to improve the image by allowing us to enlarge the image and/or add the ingredients to the write up on the product, to avoid people being misled and disappointed in receiving the wrong product. I received a response that it would stay exactly the way it is, request declined. I was very disappointed in this response.
This leads one to believe that you want people to be misled and deceived

I purchased this product at a local nutrition store, mostly as a energy supplement for my graveyard job.

The first time I took this it was 30 minutes before work [which is 9PM at night] with a relatively empty stomach, the only thing taken was a protein shake about 15 minutes earlier.

It took approx. 45 minutes before I begin to feel the energy from this product, unfortunately it was overbearing. There really wasn't much of a cardiovascular effect but the nervousness this product gave me gave me so much energy that I really couldn't do anything with because I was nervous and unable to "focus" that energy into anything. I am not normally sensitive to stimulants as I can take 300mg-400mg of caffeine at one time with no nervousness, but this product surprised me with how potent it really is.

I also want to warn SSRI users, as a Paxil user, this product induced SSRI-like withdrawal symptoms. This includes a dizziness sensation with the beating of your heart, weird vertigo sensations when moving head, as well as anxiety.

The reason I'm warning SSRI users is because this is the symptoms I experienced when I was on Paxil while taking this product. When given time [24hrs after last Paxil dose] I do not experience this effect. I'm not exactly sure what ingredient is causing this weird interaction but it is definitely uncomfortable enough to warrant me to not use the product anymore.

Stimerex gave me energy but saw no real weight loss. Going to give it one more try before chalking it up as an unsuccessful product for me. 5 stars on delivery. Delivery was fast!!!

This was a great deal compared to the prices available in town! Took a little while to receive due to high demand, but I was notified and kept up to date so the delay didn't seem so bad.
