5.0 out of 5 stars "Yeah, that's right, we bad..."
In my opinion, there has never been a greater comedy duo than Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder. They are two comic geniuses who mesh perfectly when they come together.

3.0 out of 5 stars FUNNY!
Just for the scene where Craig Nelson's character tries to teach Wilder a lesson by sticking him in a small box and a week later without much air and no food Wilder says,"One more week please!" genuinely meaning it, makes this movie worthwhile. Such moments are priceless.

In my opinion, there has never been a greater comedy duo than Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder. They are two comic geniuses who mesh perfectly when they come together.

In STIR CRAZY, their best film in my opinion, the two play an actor and a playwright from New York who decide to head out west to look for work. However, along the way, their plans are put on hold as they get framed for bank robbery and find themselves in a Texas penitentiary. They then go through a series of adventures attempting to prove their innocence, escape from prison, and stay alive.

The movie does not contain a very original plot, but the viewer can expect many laughs watching two of the greatest comedians of all time at their best!

This movie is a true classic, Pryor and Wilder at their best. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this one in your collection. Also, we will miss you Richard...my condolences to his family. Rest in Peace.

This is one of the best movies i have ever seen it s so interesting how they find out who the real theifs are. I only discovered Richard Pryor a couple of years ago. I first stated watching him in stand up and now he is my favorite. Any way go and rent or buy this DVD.

4.0 out of 5 stars the 2 of them are great..., July 2, 2005
This review is from: Stir Crazy (DVD)
Wilder and pryor are great in this film, another film i saw when i was like 5 or 6 and always remembered it picked it up first chance. I very fuuny movie that i could watch over and over. People say it drags but I completley disagree the movie runs at a great pace and is a definite classic. Not every single moment could be hilarious they have to have some dialogue thats normal, but these reviewers dont seem to understand that. I never seen silver streak but i am looking to rent it, see no evil hear no evil is another xclassic just hilarious featuring wilder and pryo.

THIS IS THE FUNNIEST MOVIE I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE. I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING ONCE. EVERYTHING ANYONE SAYS IS FUNNY, ESPECIALLY SKIP AND HARRY. THE WOODPECKERS ARE THE FUNNIEST, AND I CAN EVEN SING YOU THE SONG THEY SING,"YOU'LL SAVE MONEY, KNOCK ON WOOD..." BUT I WON'T SING THE WHOLE THING. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING. YOU WON'T STOP LAUGHING FOR A LONG TIME AFTER YOU SEE IT. I'VE SEEN IT ABOUT 6 TIMES AND IT DOSEN'T GET OLD. I STILL LAUGH AT EVERYTHING.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'd have to be CRAZY not to love this outstanding blu-ray!, September 25, 2011
This review is from: Stir Crazy [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor are the last great comedy team, so I'd have picked this blu-ray up even without the generous bonus features contained herein. Thanks to Image Entertainment for another OUTSTANDING release!

5.0 out of 5 stars Richard Pryor & Gene Wilder's finest film, August 9, 2006
This review is from: Stir Crazy (DVD)
I cannot say enough about this movie. I think it's their greatest collaboration with Silver Streak running a close second.
Skip Donohue...just hearing Richard say "Skip" throughout the movie is hilarious! If you have not seen this, you are missing out on a comedy classic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Its Classic Wilder and Prior budy comedy, February 20, 2006
This review is from: Stir Crazy (DVD)
This is a classic. Richard Prior and Gene Wilder are as fun as ever in this film about two guys who go to jail after they are set up for a crime they didnt commit. There are plenty of hilarious moments between Wilder and Prior as usual. Its not there best film together but I believe it still holds a place in anyones Richard Prior or Gene Wilder collctions. It fits right in there between "Silver Streek" and "Hear no Evil, See no Evil". If anything you should rent it just to see it.
