I have long been a Stitcher user. This is a great app to get the podcasts and shows I want to hear from the web into my ears easily. I can create stations of my favorites, and the app works great. Since getting my Kindle Fire, I have been using Stitcher, but it was the phone version. This recent update is a tablet-specific version, so the app has gotten even better! Stitcher is my most used app across all my devices. And now I use it more than ever on my Fire thanks to their new version.

Sorry for overly long review-but...No more searching websites for podcasts to download !!, or dealing with i-tunes to download past podcasts !, as stictcher will gather up a list of all your favorite podcasts and update all of them when you wish at once then it plays them one after another and certain podcasts like BBC have numerous podcasts that update twice per day one has the option of updating or not. Also Sticher has live internet radio worldwde with a favorites option -fantastic app! Playing a favorite a favorite podcast one is given great suggestions for new podcasts one may not haveheard of.Due to the suggestions I have become a fan of brilliant podcasts like: freakanomics, radiolab, on the media, planet money, as well as the marketplace group of casts, and my favorite PRI's "the World " for excellent global news stories , unbiased with BBC and freelance foreign jornalists who have top access.This type of in depth journalism one fings on various podcasts is essential to our democracy & to know about our shrinking world is essential. In the U.S., our main news outlets like nbc cbc abc fox and pbs are available on sticher as well, but after listening to more in depth reporting like BBC and others with more analysis, mainstream media can seem like a joke with shallow reporting and soundbite analysis. Thank googness for this resource to have all this information at our fingertips. Sticher now has hooked up with Sonos home all house wireless audio, 2 of the best compnies shook hands!! which now means I can listen to my morning podcasts in my shower pumping through cieling speakers with my phone as a controller!

This is a good app it has some of my favorite podcasts on it but it keeps closing for no reason and when it does it doesnt leave a bookmark to where the last podcast left off-Droid A855
