Easy to understand eye-opening information on investing!,

This book was entertaining and informative, also an easy read for a novice investor like me. The insider information was the most useful. I doubt that I would ever get a stock broker to be as honest as the author (David Cash) about the intricacies and tricks of the stock market and its traders. Reading this book will change my strategy as I go forward with my investments. Speaking of investments, the book was well worth the price. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the usual lineup of jargon-laden tomes I've seen on bookshelves in my neighborhood bookstore.

This book is short and easy to understand with a lot of useful information. First time buyer should be aware of the dark side of stock market that the book mentioned. If you want to invest in the stock market, reading this book is a must.

I invested in the stock market three years ago. I lost tons of money. Six months ago, I bought Stock Market Basics. I finally understand why and how I lost all the money. I wish I read Stock Market Basics before I invested in the market. The information in the book has been very helpful to me. I am doing better now with my decision making. Most importantly, I learned I need to do my own research and not listen to my friends on what stock to buy.

Don't bother!,

I don't know where they came up with 102 pages for the paperback version...there is exactly 49 pages of text and every other page is blank so YOU can write something on them. I guess the author felt like we wouldn't have any scrap paper around. More likely he wanted it to at least appear to have some volume to it. So we are down to 24 pages of writing...most of which I can summarize in 8 or 9 pages. This book should be about 50cents and you can read it on the subway heading home. Nothing new here. I can't imagine how he even got it published.
