Excellent Mantra, March 19, 2006

In my view this is the best Mantra available. The Kontarskys on Stockhausen's own label are excellent too, but this one has a marvelous sense of span and pacing, and the sound is very fine. It is more expensive than the Mikhashoff and Bevan on New Albion, but I think it's well worth it: that one lacks presence sonically and in interpretation, whereas this one is extraordinarily vivid, spacious, exhilarating.
