The songs are pretty, sometimes sugary and well crafted. There's something British 80s about the songs. This is definitely the most expert sounding of all of Amazon's free downloads. This is the free download that should NOT be free.
I did delete the song "Seconds" which is not really a song at all. Amanda Mair's House is my favorite.

Track 1 The Radio Dept. play Heaven's on fire. Unfortunate initial spoken word comment ahead of great upbeat song. Dream Pop-ish sounds better than most. Nice rhythms and cool backing keyboards. Like it.
Sambassadeur play Subtle Changes. Another well produced Pop song with nice female vocal and musically interesting band. Keeps your attention throughout. Very nice. Pallers with The Kiss are next. Simple beat, singer opens up with very clean strong vocal, song picks up some momentum and strength this is a cool song. Track 4 is Club 8 with Dancing With The Mentally Ill. Simple drums over pretty female vocal mostly singing the song title, dreamy chorus, nice beat. Good production and construction help make this a quality Indie song. Det Vackra with Viljan. Dream Pop song sung in Swedish over strong beat, nice echoes and vocal, could be mellow dance track. Would You Say Stop by Acid house Kings. Cool female vocal & pretty simple lyrics dominate the song in front of zooming band keeping it simple and sounding great. Very nice. The Legends with Something Strange Will Happen. Great opening sound disappointing whispering next to the mic vocal however song keeps going and grows on you. Speedy Electronica sound. Like it. The Mary Onettes are next with Puzzles. Busy 80's style synthesizer sound and vocal. Pet Shop Boys vibe great Indie Dream Pop sound. Track 9 is Pelle Carlberg with 1983(Pelle & Sebastian). Story telling simple song. Music is all behind the singer song has spoken interlude. Song is called 1983. The Radio Dept. are next with Never Follow Suit. Dream Pop song, mellow vocal over adequate band, more spoken word that is rarely good in a song. Otherwise okay. Club 8 with Western Hospitality are next. Neat Caribbean style intro and beat 'lot of ahh ahhing and ohhing over subdued female vocal, band stays together and pulls us through. Like it. Track 12 Suburban Kids With Biblical Names playing 1999 is next. I am sure the singer will grow on me. Boppy simple beat and noises over male vocal telling story. Not for me. Are We Lovers Or Are We Friends? by by Acid House Kings. Dream Pop wimpy vocal over very simple keyboards and song, shame given the song name. Jesus, Walk with Me by Club 8 is next. Cool female vocal over quiet acoustic guitar. Track 15 is Halleluja by [ingenting]. Great raw Pop sound, honest cool singer and tight band cruising along. Very nice. Days by Sambassadeur is next. Busy opening with strings and stuff. Well produced and competent song. Becomes predicable, sounds nice. The Legends with Seconds Away is next. More quiet vocal submerged behind unpleasant sound that might be guitar feedback run back through the amp( I don't know). Little Big Adventure with Happiest Times. Sad vocal, lyrics and tone. Xylophone sound, drum machine and keyboard. Not for me. Pallers with Humdrum next. Neat hand drum opening, low key vocal over synthesizer sounds. Steady beat simple dance noise enough subtle changes to keep us listening. Okay. Pelle Carlberg with I Love You, You Imbecile. Easy Pop song male and female vocals, cute lyrics very nice. The Mary Onettes with Once I Was Pretty. Nice Dream Pop song reminds me of something English.. Last track is Amanda Mair with House. Nice female vocal over busy backing band. Very nice. Swedish bands on this sampler, some with 2 songs. Indie Pop, Dream Pop, Electronica and just Pop tunes. Production and quality is high give it a download you will find songs you like. Delete what you don't, do it now recent Amazon free mp3's have quickly become for sale or been withdrawn.

This is a good label and these were a nice addition to my listening collection. I liked most of them and always enjoy the Legends. This is one of the better freebies from Amazon, THANK YOU AMAZON!
