4.0 out of 5 stars Why not have some FUN this Christmas for a change??
Don't know what raven "andy" from Baltimore is hearing, but what I hear is one ass-kickin' band having an old-time rock BLAST with Christmas songs that aren't the same old snoozers we hear every year. "Christmas with Bazooka Joe," "Super Rock Santa," "Six White Boomers" . . . if these new holiday classics don't get you in a yuletide mood, then maybe you'd better retire to...

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute WORST Christmas offering EVER!
As a fan of all Christmas music of all genre's, this has to be the worst stuff I've ever come across. Calling it 'crap' would be too nice. And usually, I only review music I love, but this crap pisses me off. I try my best not to own crap since I left the music biz.

I'm a big fan of the majority of Yep Roc artists, especially Robyn Hitchcock, Nick Lowe,...

Cream of the crop? A flat-out brilliant rendition of "Hooray for Santa Claus" from that heartwarming holiday classic, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

The Fleshtones BRING IT, folks!

(No, I'm not in or associated with the band in any way. Just a true believer in Christmas Rock JUSTICE!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Super-rock santa makes the scene!, December 14, 2008

Lots of fun super-rock original christmas tunes with a smattering of covers. "Run, run, rudolph" everyone knows, but have you heard "Super rock santa?" Overall superior songwriting that's fun, upbeat, joyous, and it ROCKS! plenty of fuzzed out guitar riffs and catchy lyrics. I reccommend everyone, even the bah-humbug types, to get thier stocking stuffed!

I'm a big fan of the majority of Yep Roc artists, especially Robyn Hitchcock, Nick Lowe, etc. And I do remember the Fleshtones gave a somewhat attempt at Lee Dorsey's "Ride Your Pony" back n the 80's that wasn't too bad, just not worthy of the original. I still figured they'd be worth looking into for some Alt Rock Holiday Cheer, as I am a very serious collector of music, especially at Christmas time. BTW, I love the Pogues "Fairytale of NY" tune.

The only songs I've ever deleted from my extensive Christmas collection from my computer is the nonesense from this cd and that gawdawful Grandma single.

If I had 5 thumbs, that would be how many I'd be using in the downward motion. Pure B#lls?*t!

If you're considering other Yep Roc Christmas cd's, they are great! Los Strait Jackets, Marah, Rev. Horton Heat, etc.

My favourite somewhat recent Christmas music in the past few years, though, is the Robin Gibb Christmas Carols cd from 2007! That would be a 4 1/2 or 5*!
