Feeder is a poor choice, poorly built. I thought I was buying the
Stokes feeder with a screw-on top, but this model has a flanged bottom which the squirels quickly disassembled. Unfortunately they both look the same pictured.

This one of the best sunflower feeders I have every used. Well made heavy wire and metal so the squirrels can not easly chew holes in it. this is the second one I have bought.

This is an excellent feeder for the price. The hood and seed tray are sturdy metal and though the wire mesh is somewhat vulnerable with the top removed (ie. when filling) when assembled it is a stout design. The seed tray has proven effective -- no piles of seed on the ground and the feeder has done a good job of keeping seed dry despite some storms this month. Minor complaint: the method of filling means the entire feeder must come down, it cannot be filled while it is hanging. Also the small top-cap that secures the hood may prove difficult to unscrew once the frost comes. Small niggles about a fine product and an excellent value.
