Stokes Niger thistle is the kind I recommend. The service is good and the product is great. The only thing I wish is they send it more quickly, my bird friends are very hungry!

The bag showed up pretty quick. The box it came in was big. The bag was small...
Order the bigger size. Even with a smaller feeder, you'll go through this in about a week.
Birds seem happy though.

This item is wonderful. Great price, lots of thistle seed and very strong bag, thistled does not fall out from rips.
