This is the second sort of 'best of' collection of The Firehouse Five Plus Two. This was the jazz band that was originally composed of Disney animators. The music is hot! All of the songs are fast paced and what you would expect to hear down south.

48 Dixieland tracks that make you feel like you're sailing down the great missisipp circa 1920-1930. This CD's great at summer family gatherings--bbq's, or whatever you may be celebrating! A very nice selection of "new orleans revival" from the 50's, with plenty of vocals--including a few with bing crosby and dinah washington at the end of disc 1. If this is your fisrt F5+2 cd, make it this one!

If you like early 20th century songs, done in a Dixieland style, you will love these guys! Most were not professional musicians, and many worked at the Disney studio and did this for amusement, but they were outstanding. Don't be surprised by the added fire sirens, it really adds to the fun. Highly recommended!
