More About the Author

Jacquelin Thomas is an award winning, best selling author with twenty-nine titles in print. Her books have garnered several awards, including two EMMA awards, the Romance In Color Reviewers Award, Readers Choice Award and the Atlanta Choice Award in the Religious & Spiritual category. Jacquelin was a 2005 honoree at the Houston Black Film Festival for the movie adaptation of her novel, Hidden Blessings. She was the first recipient to receive the Writers Achievement Award at the North Carolina Book Festival in Winston-Salem.

Although Jacquelin initially published in the romance genre, she decided to follow the call on her heart to write Christian fiction because she seeks to write books that will touch your heart and uplift your spirits with tales of characters who yearn to have an intimate relationship with God. Committed to writing books that glorify God and her growing teen audience, Jacquelin published the first of her Young Adult Inspirational Fiction series titled Simply Divine in October 2006. Her second book in the series, Divine Confidential was nominated for a 2008 NAACP Image Award. She has since gone on to publish two more books in the series.

When asked why she is so passionate about writing teen novels, Thomas shares that teens are confronted with so much--sex, drugs, violence and abuse, physically and mentally. They need to not only listen to what the world says about these things but also to what the Bible says.

Jacquelin is a member of the National Writers Union, Romance Writers of America and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She is happily married to her best friend and is the proud mother of three children. Jacquelin and her family live in North Carolina.

This review is from: Stolen Hearts (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Stolen Hearts is a fast paced, emotional read that keeps the reader turning pages. Raven Christopher is distraught, her child has been kidnapped and the only person that can help her, doesn't want anything to do with her; Andre Simon, a gifted artist, whose heart belongs only to Raven. Andre and Raven seem to have a promising future ahead of them. But that future is destroyed when Raven confesses that she was involved in an art heist. Andre feels betrayed and he banishes her from his life.

Now almost two years later Raven shows up on his doorstep begging for help. The reunion is not a happy one, and Andre's immediate reaction is to turn her away because he cannot seem to forget about the past. But Raven's anguish over her missing child touches him. Can Andre put aside his distrust and anger for Raven and help her rescue her child? Will Andre forgive Raven and lose himself to his one true love? In order to find out the answers to these questions you will have to read Stolen Hearts, Jacquelin Thomas's latest literary offering.

This story was so fast paced and exciting that I finished reading it in one sitting. I highly recommend Stolen Hearts and look forward to more of Ms. Thomas's work.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Art Of Love, August 26, 2004
By
This review is from: Stolen Hearts (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Jacquelin Thomas writes an emotional spell bound story that leads one to realize that love can never be conquered but instead love will conquer all things even hard head and strong willed souls.

Raven Christopher knew the day she told her best friend, her lover, and her soul mate the truth about who she really was she was losing out on a life time of happiness after realizing that her heart was at risk she did what she thought was wise but when the love child that they shared is kidnap she has no choice but to attempt to get Andre Simon to understand her motives and help her find their child.

Andre Simon knew when Raven came to him that his life was about to get turned upside down after she left him and he realized who she really was his life was never quite the same so when she reappears speaking about his child he did what he knew best and told her to get out of his house and leave him alone but when he starts to put the pieces together he begins to realize could it really be true.

Andre and Raven take the chances of trusting each other enough to find their love child Julian but does Andre have everything that it takes to protect Raven and Julian from the harm that has come their way.

The novel allows you to take a look at hearts of passion and love that have been filled with hate but when they thaw out its all about the passion.

4.0 out of 5 stars WORTH THE WAIT..., January 2, 2003
This review is from: Stolen Hearts (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoy all of Jacquelin Thomas books... It was kinda of heard to get into this book at first but once I did I loved it. I can't wait to read about the rest of A.C.'s sister and maybe her father too.. It was cool to slip in on the Ramson. Just to know they are fine. The reason I didn't give this book a 5 stars due to the romace sceens was lacking due to the fact the chartars had a past and a new start I thought the sceens could have been a lil' hotter. If you have read about the Ramson's then you will remember A.C from Matt & Katlin's story. If not go get and catch up... Good work mrs Thomas
