Book Description

February 1, 2005 Silhouette Intimate Moments (Book 1347)

He was as impressive in person as he was to read about in the papers. Simon Ford exuded his trademark power and intelligence...despite having amnesia. For small-town police officer Laura Baker, there were countless reasons to find Simon's attacker, but one that landed her off the case: Her father was the prime suspect.

But Simon wanted her help, and Laura suspected that Simon always got what he wanted. Despite herself, she agreed to keep his memory loss a secret and to fake intimacy to explain her closeness and her questions. Yet when the line between ruse and reality became blurred, Laura knew she'd let in danger of a different kind....

More About the Author

Stories are magic. Even in tough times, they have the power to sweep us away.

Up and down the British Isles, people tell stories of the selkie, immortal creatures of the sea living apart from humankind who come ashore to take human lovers. The Children of the Sea series, set off the rocky coast of Maine, was inspired by those legends.

This summer look for Carolina Home, the first in her new Dare Island series, home to three generations of the Fletcher family: steady Matt, the son who stayed; ambitious Meg, the daughter who never looked back; and rebel Luke, the Marine who thought he would never return.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exciting summer read, June 16, 2005
This review is from: Stolen Memory (Silhouette Intimate Moments) (Mass Market Paperback)
Virginia Kantra's characters practically grab you by the shirt and throttle you with their personalities. (That's a good thing! They're so real!) This is one read you won't want to put down. I was invested in both the hero and heroine by page 1, and loved them until the very end! Not only were the characters great, but the action was fast-paced page-turning stuff. Great plot, fast pace, and really satisfying ending. I recommend it for an exciting summer read!
