Not the songs in the movie, January 15, 2007
This review is from: Stomp The Yard (Audio CD)
I bought this to hopefully hear some of the songs in the movie. Especially the one when they are steppin/dancing. Unfortunately I only recognized a couple of songs from the movie. Not sure where the rest were. Most notably the Trick Daddy/Ozzy mix - "Let's Go", which was in the previews and the movie was not even on the soundtrack. The best thing I can say is it is clean enough to let my kids put on their ipods.

Soundtrack is okay but worked better in the movie, June 9, 2007
This review is from: Stomp The Yard (Audio CD)
I agree that "Let's Go" really should have been included.
I'm guessing that the Explosions In The Sky music played heavily throughout the film really wouldn't have fit well with the style of the rest of the songs, but it is a shame it they couldn't figure out a way to do it.

A Kid's Review

Stomp the Yard
This movie is about a guy and he loves to dance. Although when they dance too much one of the brothers gets shot and dies. Now the other brother has to go live with his uncle and aunt. Also he has to go to college. That's where he finds a beautiful girl, but her boyfriend is on a national step team. He gets challenged one day and beats him. Now he gets asked to be on the second place step team. He joins the team and they have to practice the dance steps. He goes through a lot in the movie. This was a really good show. It was exciting and funny too. I would rate this movie 4 1/2. I would want to go see it once more and encourage you to go see it.
