As a pastor I counseled countless couples dealing with addictions (from alcoholism, drug addicts, "spendaholics", compulsive gamblers to sexual addicts) who would have benefitted from this practical guide to health and freedom.

The book includes perspectives from both the addict and the spouse thus encouraging an evenhanded presentation of the struggles and emotions both spouses experience separately and as a couple.

There is a nice balance between practical suggestions and Biblical insights for addressing the many issues that plague the family of the addict including grief, betrayal, hopelessness, shame, guilt, and forgiveness.

I recommend it highly with one important observation. This book should NOT belimited to those struggling with sexual addiction. It is a valuable resource for anyone struggling with any type of addiction.

Stone Cold in a Warm Bed is a wonderful resource for couples struggling with a sexual addiction and for anyone dealing with this issue in a counceling environment. It is not a clinical study or explanation of this addiction, but rather a clearly written and very candid account of one couple's experience. This book offers help and hope to hurting couples, and insight to those who councel them.

Stone Cold in a Warm Bed is beautifully written. The Wilson's have confronted a difficult issue with sensitivity, compassion and wisdom. They not only share their story, they take the reader through a step by step process of healing. Kathryn Wilson illustrates what women need to know and what couples need to share in order to bring their marriage back into a healthy union. Readers will learn how faith can rebuild a marriage and heal the wounds of a sexual addiction. Kathryn Wilson's personal account and guidance will instruct and inspire women. They will find the hope they need and never feel alone again after reading this book. The most helpful Christian book on this topic that I have seen!!!

So many of us have suffered the tragic effects of sexual addictions. This book is a courageous revelation of one couple's struggle to recover wholeness. You will be enlightened and encouraged. As a pastor I highly recommend this excellant work.

I did not find this book helpful or comforting. It basically was about the author's marriage and did not offer any helpful suggestions. I was comforted to know that another woman experienced the same hurt, however, I needed ways to help get through the pain....not read the details for her marriage.

This book is a great read for anyone who is struggling with their husbands addiction to pornography. The author seems to give an honest account of her life married to sex addict. We need more books like this to fight the culture of sex and pornography and to help women know that they are not alone in this insanity.

The words of the author were a mirror image of the words of my heart, except I didn't know how to express it quite so succinct. This book provides practical and Biblical advice for couples faced with sexual addiction. It moved me from anger, bitterness and denial to coping strategies. I finally began to make sense of sexual addiction and how it has affected my marriage whether I realized it or not. I recommend this book for any wife that finds herself broken hearted and not knowing what to do next.
