We have an outdoor tile patio next to our pool and guests were constantly falling on the wet tile. I was skeptical about this product but needed to do something. Applied as directed and no more slipping! The product is a dilute hydrochloric acid (among other things) which lightly etches the tile surface. You can control the degree of etching by how long you leave it on. I wish I would have done this years ago. 5 stars!

I applied this product to a large tile patio next to my pool that has always been very slippery. It was easy to apply using a sprayer (the garden kind can be used for weed killer) and since it was outdoors I was able to just hose it down after it set for about 15 min. It has made a huge difference so far and it didn't change the look of the tile at all. I could not be more satisfied.

We were very afraid of slipping/falling on the shiny tiles in my new (to me) restaurant. Many of my customers are elderly and I was concerned about injuries and lawsuits. This product definitely reduces slippage. We leaved it on longer than it suggested, testing it frequently for the traction to improve. It does take the shine off the floor, but that beats injuries for both my employees and my customers.

The results of our first application were much less than desired. We applied the solution after cleaning et al, and let it stand. After 5 minutes we removed it as instructed. The result was a "spotted" surface. In addition, wherever the bottle (which had dripped down to it's base) had been setting there were obvious rings etched into the floor. If you use this product, my advice is to continue to run the applicator over the surface being treated for the whole treatment time. Our second application results were excellent using this technique. It does increase the traction on ceramic tile with wet feet/shoes.

Worked very well to reduce slipperiness of outdoor porcelain tile. The only problem I had was that I used it with a 1 gallon pump sprayer. The Stone Grip solution started pouring out of the top of the pressurized pump sprayer (not thru the spray nozzle) a few minutes after putting it into the sprayer and before starting to spray the tile. Had to grab a plastic bin to catch the solution before it all ran into the grass. Apparently, the seals in the sprayer were damaged by the Stone Grip so that it forced its way up and leaked out of the spray tank. Seemed kind of dangerous to me considering that the stuff is so corrosive. So I used a sponge mop to apply the solution instead and that worked fine.

The product is good. Only issue that I have is after the immediate reaction to the porcelain tile, the speed of reaction reduces. Alternatively said, wherever the products make contact with the tile, that is the area which gets etched fast, and I guess kind of dilutes the concentration for further reactivity.. Overall though it does improve the traction. I recommend it instead of slipping!!

Wow. This product blew my mind away. How simple it is to spread a thin layer of this liquid on porcelain tiles (for 15 minutes) for decent slip resistance, spread the neutralizer, wash it off and you are done. This product is unbelievably effective. I recommend it highly.

There are small children who spend most of their spring/summer in my backyard around the pool. I have Italian tile in the backyard and it gets very slippery when wet. After speaking with the people who clean our tiles in the house I found this product and had it applied to our tiles in the backyard. It’s really helped make it less slippery, while still maintaining the look we wanted for the backyard.
