The Stone Must Break,
This review is from: The Stone Must Break (Paperback)
A fascinating story that begins slowly, builds to the point where you cannot put the book down and suddenly you begin realize how factual the story really is! Believe the original novel was much longer with even more detail......would like to read the whole novel.

Great Read,

This review is from: The Stone Must Break (Paperback)
I loved this book! The historical detail was superb, Carmel was engaging and the romance was just right. If you like World War II history and/or California history with a little Gone With The Wind thrown in, this is a must read. Sagas are hard to find these days, they seem to have gone out of style - but thus is a great one!Altogether a great read!

This review is from: The Stone Must Break (Paperback)
World War II comes vividly to life in this sprawling novel about a young California woman who loves, loses, and loves again. From war ships to the home front, families face disaster and triumph. This book is written with passion and fascinating details. A feast of a story.
