Bob Hill has a sweet soul, an educated mind, and a keen sense of observation of society and the world around him. Louisville has been enriched for years by his contributions to our community through his column at the C-J. This is a must-read for any local essayist. Bob Hill was doing, back in the day, what many bloggers today aspire to do, and he didn't have the ease of garnering reciprocal praise at the effortless click of a mouse. He earned his props the old-fashioned way: damn good writing.
