4.0 out of 5 stars Another great title by Dr. Raymond Capt., March 8, 2006

This review is from: Stonehenge and Druidism - Did a Divine Hand guide the building of Stonehenge? (Paperback)
First, let me say that as I write this review I have yet to finish this little book, but I only have around 20 pages left.

With that having been said, I've found the book to be very well explained, but I feel it needs to be updated with more pictures, and perhaps more historical references to some of his documentation, such as his explanations of the Phoenician-Hebrew culture. This is not to take away from the good information he has presented in this short book, but I just feel a few more historical references would have helped aid in ones further studies.

IMHO, this book should be studied with other works of Dr. Capts, such as Missing links in Assyrian Tablets, which also helps to explain some of the ancient history of Mesoptoamia, as well as the migrations of the ancient Hebrew people(s). Another good book to study in addition to these two books, is "The Great Pyramid decoded", another title by Dr. Raymond Capt. In his short book on the Great Pyramid at Giza, he gives many mathematical calculations and figures concerning the structure and building of the Great Pyramind, as well as astroligical references to its purpose in association with the heavenly bodies. He does the same with Stonehenge, and he also points out ones attention that the Egyptian "Royal Cubit" was used in both the construction of Stonehenge, as well as the Great Pyramid at Giza. Not only that, but he suggests the "megalithic-yard" used in ancient monuments through out old Brittain has a relation to both the Egyptian Royal Cubit, as well as the Pyramid "Sacred cubit". Thus, if you wish to have a more broad understanding, it would pay you well to study the books together. One other thing Dr. Capt notes is that one should consult "A study in Pyramidology" by Adam Rutherford, which I will be purchasing in not too long.

The amount of Christian and Biblical study performed in relation to Stonehenge and the Pyramids at Giza is very limited. I feel we need more people investigating these monuments, and perhaps more truth can be discovered. I recommend all of Dr. Raymond Capt's works to anyone who is wishing to have a deeper study for Biblical truth in both history, and archeology.

5.0 out of 5 stars from the book advertisment..., April 29, 2009
This review is from: Stonehenge and Druidism - Did a Divine Hand guide the building of Stonehenge? (Paperback)
This book deals with the age old question of: the purpose of Stonehenge who the master-builders were and when it was built.

Stonehenge, standing in lonely majesty on England's great Salisbury Plain is wreathed in mystery. From the earliest times it has aroused the awe and curiosity of it's visitors. What was it's purpose? Who were the master builders? When was it built?

Although not counted as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Stonehenge does count as one of the most unique wonders of the world. A monument so old that it's true history was probably forgotten by classic times. Greek and Roman writers hardly mention it.

There have been many folk legends and stories attached to that "Gigantic Pile" as it was called by ancient writers. In more modern times most scholars agree it served as some kind of ceremonial building or religious structure for ancient peoples. It is, however, only within the last century, that archaeological excavations and astronomical computations have yielded reliable information about it's origin, history and purpose.

From pottery shards, ancient burials and the silent stones themselves, have come the amazing saga of a race of colonizers who created a unique civilization, in Britain, over 2000 years before the birth of Christ.

Stonehenge stands today, one signpost left along the way that identifies the Building Race. It bears witness to the vigor and vitality of a national religion, already passed from the primitive into the metaphysical stage, which embodied abstract ideas, astronomical observations and a high and pure code of ethics.
