this was a gift to my cousin and she tells me she served split pea soup to her guests at a small dinner party. She was elated by its beauty. My cousin mentioned she did not have a tureen when I was her guest over Thanksgiving, so upon returning home, I searched for a beautiful tureen that would not break the bank but yet show her how greatful I was for her hospitality over the holidays. It was a hit.
