5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant surprise
I was looking for the Caldwell bag to match my Caldwell Rock but settled on this bag instead. I was pleasantly surprised with the design, size, weight, and quality of this bag. I highly recommend it to anyone for sighting-in or bench practice. Would buy again, and probably chose it over the Caldwell.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mislead
I read one of the reviews on this item about the product being shipped slightly different than pictured. He was definitely right and the picture is VERY misleading. Even the box I got it in has the wrong picture. That NEEDS to be changed. The pictured model you would have the longer length of the rest (ears) running the same direction as the rifle. It does not. Even the box I got it in has the wrong picture. That NEEDS to be changed. The pictured model you would have the longer length of the rest (ears) running the same direction as the rifle. It does not. The rest (ears) runs perpendicular to the long part of the base not parallel to the base as pictured. It will work but the more support the better so I'm disappointed. The only reason I'm keeping it is because I bought it used and it was filled so it was a good deal and it will work. Just not as good as the pictured one

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Pictured, December 29, 2010

#1 The product we received does not match the picture. The ears are on the short end. It still works but we are really getting tired of receiving stuff from Amazon that does not match what we ordered. BUT.....

#2 We had to come and edit our post...my husband took a good look at the photograph and realized the company had improved the product by changing the orientation of the ears..It fits the rifle stock better this way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Different than picture, April 16, 2010

The product shipped is slightly different than pictured. It has the smaller "ears", about half the width shown in the picture, and oriented 90 degrees to what's shown. The pictured model you would have the longer length of the rest running the same direction as the rifle. The actual product you would have the long side perpendicular to the rifle. I looked it up, and there must have been a model change or something, I can find both examples but have the same name. The main difference is there is not as much in contact with the butt of the rifle. Other than being different than expected, it still works just fine, so I can't complain.

This is an excellent rear shooting bag rest. Well worth the money to help take out human error. I use it in conjunction with a Caldwell Rock Jr. Metal Front Rifle Rest and Caldwell or Harris short bipods.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not For Serious Shooters, November 7, 2011

This bag is too flimsy. The ears will not stand up, especially under the weight of a heavy BR rifle. I now use it as a riser bag (ears flattened) when I need to raise the stock of the rifle. Shooting bags, like scopes need to be purpose bought. Whoever designed this bag probably didn't use it. This is a product (Like a scope) where you need to spend a little more money and get a good one to start with.

3.0 out of 5 stars nothing special, but it does the job, July 14, 2011

Cheaper then the similar size Caldwell rest, yet still does the same job. I am using it with the rock front rest and together they work fine. However when I use it with my AR I find the rear rest isn't high enough to allow the 30 cap magazine to be used . The solution was to raise the rear rest by 4 inches. I also needed to turn the rock 180 degrees so as to eliminate the rear leg from making contact with the magazine.

2.0 out of 5 stars The product shown on Amazon is not the product shipped, December 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Stoney Point Standard Rear Shooting Bag (Sports)
I ordered the Stoney Point rear shooting bag based on the photo on Amazon. When the product arrived, the photo on the box was the same as the photo on Amazon and what I thougt I was getting. I opened the box to find a different shaped shooting bag. The wings are horizontal to the bag not parallel as shown in the photos. I contacted Amazon and they immediately shipped me another sandbag. When it arrived, same problem, right photo, wrong product.
