3.0 out of 5 stars Got it for the B-sides
Since I already own the album, I bought this single just for the B-sides--a habit of mine when it comes to Oasis. So what's the story this time? Thank You For The Good Times should have made the album, in my opinion. It sounds like a cross between Roll With It and Some Might Say, and is a lot better than All In The Mind, which, inexplicably, DID make the album, stinking...

5.0 out of 5 stars Mad Fer It, October 30, 2002

Truly one of Noel's finest ballads, "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" is Oasis at it's melodic best. These boys can pump out a rock anthem with style and panache, but "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" along with "wonderwall" and "Slide Away" show the bands ability to diversify, and do it well.
It's refreshing to hear the brothers Gallagher singing together, reminiscent of "Stand By Me", and the song itself tugs at the heart strings, and encourages all of us to have hope...hold on....

Love it, love the band, can't get enough of them-recently saw them live in Melbourne Australia, and fell in love with the boys and their music all over again..!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb as always, June 20, 2005
-Once again Oasis prove that they can do tear jerking ballads as well as straight out rockers, their depth is show in this masterpiece that is essential to any Oasis fan for the 2 great B-Sides with "Shout It Out Loud" in particular being another great song to add to Noel Gallaghers catalogue of powerful tracks. Ignore the idiotic critics who simply dismiss Oasis's new stuff, I'm confident in their ability to release great music regardless of the fools who want them to churn out another "Definately Maybe" it ain't gonna happen people so get the hell over it and enjoy one of the few bands around that can still rock like no other.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out', A Brilliant Song, July 14, 2002

STOP CRYING YOUR HEART OUT is probably the best track on Oasis' latest album, Heathen Chemistry. For the weak at heart, this song will make you cry. if you hear this and don't feel anything, there's something wrong with you man! it's a song that opens up with a soothing piano intro and liam's gentle voice saying 'hold on...hold up...don't be scared', the song evolves into a tearjerker but uplifting & beautiful tune filled with string arrangements and a chorus that goes "all of the stars have faded away, try not to worry, you'll see them someday" and the haunting voice of Noel responding to liam's 'why you scared?" with "i'm not scared". a potential number one single and the song that will bring oasis back to the american masses. you just got to love it!

Truly Noel's modern day masterpiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars OASIS - The KINGS, June 17, 2002

"Stop Crying Your Heart Out" is an amazing song. Noel Gallagher is a great writer and Liam Gallagher is awesome singing this classic Oasis song. "Shout It Out Loud" is an awesome song sung by Noel. It's some what slow compared to there other music, but an awesome B side. "Thank You For The Good Times" was written by Andy Bell, Oasis' bass player. It's an amazing song sung by Liam. "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" will be on there new album "Heathen Chemistry"

5.0 out of 5 stars Moving / Beutiful balad..., February 28, 2006
This review is from: Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Audio CD)
After 9/11, I saw Oasis the following spring in Chicago. I dont know if this was intentional but while they played this song, on the screen behind them appeared to be butterflies all moving in a row. I had tears as I watched & listened. This song helps me & hopefully others deal with the sorrow. Listen to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of their strongest singles..., June 18, 2002

This review is from: Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Audio CD)
Stop Crying Your Heart Out is one of their best songs ever. It's not a rocker, but a ballad along the lines of Slide Away and Don't Look Back in Anger. Overall, it's the strongest song on their upcoming new album Heathen Chemistry and it could rejuvenate Oasis in America again.

The B-sides aren't too bad, but they're not as good as previous B-sides from years past. Regardless the strength of the title track alone is worth purchasing this single. Get this song that ranks up there as one of Oasis' best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, July 3, 2002
This review is from: Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Audio CD)
This is absolutely brilliant. The aside is a perfect ballad/anthem, but the bsides are great two: Thank You For The Good Times is a Heroes(Bowie) style song and Shout It Out Loud is a nice quiet number a bit like a previous bside Talk Tonight. The album is great but it takes many listens to grow on you- this single and The Hindu Times are excellent and you'll like them instantly!

Since I already own the album, I bought this single just for the B-sides--a habit of mine when it comes to Oasis. So what's the story this time? Thank You For The Good Times should have made the album, in my opinion. It sounds like a cross between Roll With It and Some Might Say, and is a lot better than All In The Mind, which, inexplicably, DID make the album, stinking up the second half of it. The other B-side Shout It Out Loud is not a Kiss cover, thankfully, but is not a great song, either. It's one of those plodding Noel ballads that eventually--and you have to be patient on this--grows on you. Why couldn't Liam sing it? Anyone else out there tired of Noel singing more and more leads?
