This band is to the early (early) eighties what the Stray Cats were to the fifties. Deliberately derivative, but so filled with enthusiasm for (and understanding of) the source material that they've mastered it and can bend it with their minds.

If you like Moroder and New Order (or even Pet Shop Boys), you'll really enjoy this album. I don't know if it's original, but it sure sounds good.

This album is perfect from start to finish. Right up there with the Postal services' gave up and Soviets we are eyes,we are builders. The production is top notch and the lyrics are intresting and dare I say it Fun! Fans of the pet shop boys, erasure, and old anything box will love this instantly.This is what the radio should be , If it did'nt pander to the lowest common demonator.Love the album ,also check out the singers old band "fine china" you will not be dissapointed.

what an amazing c.d!i check the chicago reader every thur.frantically looking when this band is coming to the double door or the emptybottle(ill carry their gear in n help them set up for the love of it) .if there was any justice in the music industry id b reading bout this band from arizona on the cover of rolling stone.they have an great 80's sound that resonates from that era,they sound like all the good stuff from then while leapfrogging over all the crap from the same timeframe.id say they sound closest to 'my favorite'another retro-sounding band that breaks my heart w they're refreshing n heartbreaking lyrics.check it out.4get coldplay,radiohead,theyre rich enough

It was a sad day when I read that Fine China had disbanded...it was an amazing day when I read that Rob started a new band with Ronnie who had also produced "When the World Sings". This meant two things...more great, original, lazy Sunday music, and a nostalgic familiarity to the first Fine China album that I fell in love with years ago.

It's been some time since I've purchased an album that plays like a goldmine from start to finish. This is by far, my favorite album of 2008 (so far), and I hope many people buy this record if not simply to keep these guys in business so they create more of the same. Enjoy!
