Book Description

April 10, 2007
"Stop the presses!" You've heard newspaper editors shout that phrase in old movies. Joseph Farah was never a newspaper editor in the movies - he was one in real life. But he no longer works with ink, presses and newsprint.

Fourteen years ago, Farah founded WorldNetDaily.com (WND.com) and became a pioneer on the New Media frontier. Today WND.com is the largest independent news service on the Internet. "Stop the Presses!" is not just Farah's story, but that of a new wave of media superstars who have forever changed the way Americans get their news and express their views.

Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Matt Drudge.these are just some of the New Media names that old-school media like ABC News has acknowledged "rule our world." This revolution has shaken the foundations of the mainstream media, eroding its ability to control the flow of information...and with it, the power to control the lives of millions around the world.

The New Media revolution's beginnings have never been told - until now.

More About the Author

Joseph Farah is the founder, editor and chief executive officer of WND.com, the first and largest independent Internet-based news network. A lifelong newsman, Farah made a name for himself running daily newspapers in major markets, including the Sacramento Union, then the oldest daily West of the Mississippi. He has been an investigative reporter, foreign correspondent, award-winning editor and publisher.

He has also written or collaborated on more than a dozen books that have sold millions of copies. They include "Taking America Back," which has been reissued by three different publishers with more than 11 printings, and a collaboration with Rush Limbaugh on "See, I Told You So," the bestselling non-fiction book of 1993 and 1994.

Farah also took over Oliver North's nationally syndicated daily radio program, serving as host for three years.

He writes one of the very few daily columns in the world for WND.com. Creators News Service distributes a weekly version for national newspaper syndication.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old Media, "Left" in the Dust, April 13, 2007
This review is from: Stop the Presses! (Hardcover)
I appreciated reading the behind-the-scenes accounts and how the mainstream (or "lamestream") media has been swayed by pressure groups of all kinds. When one fully understands why the press was created in the first place, as a check and balance for all 3 branches of government, not as a pawn for what government wants people to believe, it clarifies for the reader why the "New Media" is critical for the health of our country. This book contains the truth about the Clinton administration, Google, Matt Drudge and many other fascinating pieces of information. A must-read for every American!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! An Vitally Important Read For All Americans!, September 21, 2007
This review is from: Stop the Presses! (Hardcover)
One book that must be read and understood to help save our Country! Joseph Farah (WorldNetDaily founder) takes the reader through the history of the mainstream/left biased/established media. Mr. Farah explains in detail how the established media has become the way they are and why they have lost so much credibility. This is an important read that exlains first hand the abuse of power that takes place towards citizens of the United States when the left is in power. Never has there been a more important time to read and understand this book with the elections approaching.
