If you are 23 years old, have a gaggle of girlfriends, a mommy and daddy, and a big sister, and haven't a clue that you shouldn't wear a t-shirt and 'crocs' on a first date, ( or stilettos, micro mini, and a halter top, with theatrical makeup) . If you want a lesson in horticulture, and advice that you shouldn't have sex on a first date then this book is for you ! (When mom tells you that you are finally old enough to go out on a date) . In other words , if you are a totally clueless bimbo, then have your big sister read this book to you.
If , on the other hand , you want a book to teach you how to navigate this increasingly difficult world of dating, keep looking for a better book. It really has little to offer anyone who is over 30, or anyone who has a bit of life experience, and is looking for something more substantial. It's "cutsie" approach is cloying and irritating. I felt like I was being instructed by a 12 year old "Sex in the City" fan. It tells you nothing that any reasonably intelligent adult doesn't already know.

This book completely changed how I view the dating process. Everything about dating is viewed in a new light, and to have the perspective of both sexes really helps. It's very honest, and not formulaic like most other dating/relationship books I've read. The authors feel like old friends.....friends that have my best interest at heart. And it works! Using their simple, step-by-step approach, I found the man of my dreams, and we are happily dating and progressing.....Thank you, Ryan and Jessica!

It never occurred to me that as a socially competent, successful, and very normal individual, I actually had no idea how to date. It was especially surprising to me since I have always attracted a fair number of guys right off the bat. I literally laughed out loud when I started the book...I was doing just about everything wrong that a girl could do, but that was the only way I really knew how to start a relationship. I was making myself overly available (physically, emotionally, and timewise). I would tell myself after a couple of dates that this guy could be "the one." And after three weeks of dating someone special, we were going up to the mountains, meeting each other's families, and brushing our teeth together... I thought this was normal. After several relationships started with a bang and ended with a fizzle, it occurred to me that perhaps it wasn't so much the guys I was meeting as it was how we (and specifically I) were approaching our relationship together.

Stop Wondering is a wonderful book that encourages you to have enough confidence in yourself and enough faith that you will meet someone great to put you in the driver's seat of your own life. It really is entirely about making men treat you the way you want and deserve to be treated and the way that many of them actually want to treat you. This book teaches you not only how to set expectations for men, but also why you can't be afraid of setting them. If a potential suitor doesn't make the cut, you know that he isn't worth your time...and this isn't about being nit-picky, it's about finding something that's right for you.

Of all the people in the world to give me this book, my ex-girlfriend, whom I am still friendly with, gave it to me. As a favor, I read it. And to be frank, I thought that it was fantastic. Maintaining a conversational approach, the authors identified the patterns of behavior that I have commonly fallen into, which have hurt my relationships in the past. Though I consider myself to be the last person to recommend a dating book, I felt compelled here to express my opinion about it. I am not saying reading this book will get you a date, but I think that it might give you new insight in how you go about dating. It has for me.

I've read a ton of dating books and they usually fall into one of two categories. There's the "wait till your married" to have sex category or the "how to be a hot [...] (or pick up artist)" category. Neither of which is realistic and neither of which works. This book gets it right with (finally!) a sane and easy to follow approach to dating. Since reading this book I've been told I'm more self assured and confident and attractive. None of those things is true. It's simply that now I know what to do when it comes to dating. I only wish I had read this a few years ago!

What a great book! I felt so relieved after reading this book - I now feel like I have a smart, sensible guide for getting to know others in the current dating environment and having a paced, healthy way of building a lasting relationship This book is fun to read, hard to put down, and is illuminating about how guys think! Thank you Ryan! Dr. C is a great role model for women who want to be self-respecting and set healthy boundaries. After I finished the book, I immediately gave it to my 19-year-old daughter so that she'll have access to the same great guidance available in this book. Don't miss their fun radio show on Hay House Radio - [...]!

You don't have to agree with the entire approach of this book for it to be inspirational. It helps you to look at the way you approach relationships very differently. I highly recommend it.
