This collar works but I don't like the way the metal prongs fit around the dog's neck. I read the instructions that came with it but nowhere explains what the volume looking know on the side of the device is.

When I put it on him he barked and received a warning tone. He barked loudly again and received a shock. He then began to scream from the pain and kept receiving warning tones and shocks until I could get the collar off of his neck. He was so scared that he hid behind the toilet for an hour. Not sure if my morkie puppy is just too stupid to learn how the thing works or if the shock was just too much for him.

Useless for Pomeranian barking. Could have cared less it was on. Didn't faze the barking a bit. Company great about accepting return for full refund!!!

This collar definately does what it says. My dog has learned that loud barking is unacceptable. However, he contantly tests the collar to see if he can bark louder without the zap. When the battery dies and he doesn't hear the beep, he barks (cautiously) louder. I don't particularly like the expensive battery that it uses though. It says in the instructions that the battery should last up to 3 or 4 months, but I have yet to see one last longer than a couple of weeks. They don't make rechargeables in this size.
