I am a big fan of the pop-up cabana idea. I bought this one last year and it was great while we had it. It was also the only thing like it on the market (at the time), so I paid the hefty price. But it only lasted until the end of the summer and my daughter put a little too much weight on it while getting in (she was only 14 months old) and the top snapped. It was actually quite dangerous because the poll whipped back and was sharp. Luckily, it didn't hit her.

I called the company and they were not very helpful at all. The woman acted kind of shocked like "and what do you want US to do about it?" They would not replace it or send any parts to fix it.

But like I said, it was really great to have and I *almost* considered buying a new one for this summer. Then I saw the identical thing in KB Toys, for $19. I can't tell any difference between the two of them and it was way cheaper. We used it today and it was great.

Update: Tent from KB lasted only a couple of weeks and then it was useless as well. I bought one of those "pop-open" ones that are just two walls with a metal frame. With the slightest bit of wind it won't hold it's shape or just falls over. So, I still haven't found anything out there worth while which is so sad because it's such a great idea.

This tent is worth every penny! It assembles in 2 seconds by pulling 2 strings. The disassembly is just as easy. It is perfect size, has sun protection yet nice screens for a breeze and will completely enclose with a zipper for protection. It is very lightweight with a great carry strap. We packed it in a suit case, set it up on the lawn pool side, carried it on a hike to set up at a private beach and loved it in all scenarios!

We've had this tent for three years now, and it's been great. We used it at the beach, and it provided a nice shady place for the baby to nap, as well as a discreet area in which to nurse. It's so easy to carry, pitch and fold up. Some reviewers have said that it gets too hot inside, but we have found that as long as one of the mesh sides is facing the breeze, it's not a problem. I am planning to replace it soon, to use for our third child, as ours has rusted over the years.

This tent is really easy to set up - took me about 15 seconds. It is great for the beach, outside in the backyard, even indoors. So much better than using a beach umbrella! And it is easy to carry, has its own carry case and handle.

We just returned from a 10 day trip to Jamaica with our 16 month old son and we purchased this Kwik Cabana II. I was a little concerned that we would look pretty dorky at the beach with a pup tent but... what a life saver. The tent easily fit into our large suitcase while it was in its carry case. It assembled easily and we used two ziplocs filled with sand to weigh it down. Our son is very tall for 16 months, 33" and we had no problems laying him in it while he napped. Other parents were walking by peeking in at him and smiling letting us know what a great idea it was. We were able to have him nap and grab some sun. No sitting in the room for us.

I was at the pool with my mommy group. We all had infants under 1 year. At least five of the mommies had different versions of tents. They spent 5, 10, 15 minutes setting them up. One gal had this tent and BAM, it was up in 10 seconds. I also liked that it had SPF sun protection in the tent material. We went out and bought one the next day. LOVE IT! So easy, even for a bumble-head like me! YAY!

We bought this tent for a beach trip, but have used it much more often inside our house. Our 2 year old loves to play in it in the living room. It is a perfect size for her and even a friend. You do need to weigh it down with sand or toys when outside so it doesn't blow away. I love the ease of set up and take down. Our 2 year old loves to "pop" it and make it collapse.

This is so light and portable. This is quick and easy to set up and easy to put back into the travel case. My older children are active in sports. This made it easy to take along the baby and not have to worry about the bugs or the sun. I love it. When the baby was small, I could put his whole car seat in the tent and let him sleep. Now that it is summer and getting very hot, I did buy a battery powered fan to help keep it cool. It can get warm in the tent when the sun is out.

I almost didn't buy this tent but my wife made me get this becuase she didn't want to lug our pack and play to the pool all summer. I don't regret it now that I've used it and have seen how easy it is to pop up and collapse. It offers great sun protection for our son and is very light and convenient. The Kwik Cabana 2 is very small so it's easy to pack up and comes in it's own pack. Our son had a blast in this all summer and took long naps in it when he wasn't playing in it. This tent is a godsend and way more convenient than an umbrella or travel crib/pack n play.

I bought this cabana because there was no assembly required and the SPF for UVB rays was nice and high at 50. This tent has been a godsend! My son loved peeking out of the mesh, even though there really wasn't anything educational about this, it was very durable and easy to pop up and take down. It was lightweight which saved us from lugging a pack and play along with a booster, car seat, diaper bag, and other pool gear. Easier on the back and less to pack! All summer my son would fall asleep in this when we were done taking him in the pool and it allowed us to relax and have some time to ourselves. It kept the suns rays out and was convenient to use when we had to change him, so we weren't exposing his bottom in public. I plan to reuse it next year on our second child who will be born in April and will probably get another one in case my son needs to take naps. I am so grateful to this tent, it made our son's first year at the pool easier than we thought. This is a huge must have for mom's in the summer. I'm thouroughly satisfied with this tent and so is my husband and son.
