Our son was very colicky for the first two months. He cried to be held all of the time and would scream if we put him down at all. We bought the "Baby/Jesus Go to Sleep" series and played it for him. It calmed him down, helped him sleep , and gave us some down time!

We got the earlier version of the CD when our 7 year old was a baby. When she was fussy this tape calmed her enough to get to sleep.

I am now buying the CD for her. She has worn out the tape and still likes to listen to it when she is trying to fall asleep and needs some calming.

I appreciated the fact that there is a Christian version, to not just calm, but to instill values.

My 2 week old Grandson wasn't sleeping soundly so I went seaching for some help for him (and his parents!) I chose this heartbeat cd based on other reviewer's comments and wasn't dissappointed. The first time I listened to it I wondered if the heartbeat part would be annoying for his parents to listen to but it quickly seems to fade into your subconcious and you can just enjoy the simple beauty of the songs. And the best part is that it seems to help him settle down into a deeper, less restless sleep! I have since purchased it for several baby shower gifts. My favorite songs are "Into My Heart" and Down in My Heart".

There are so many new things on the market since when I was a new Mom that it's hard to know just what is helpful and what isn't. That's why the reviews are so helpful! A couple other baby items that are somewhat new on the market that make wonderful gifts are: the CD and book: "The Happiest Baby on the Block", the "Close and Secure Sleeper" and the Bumbo seat (a must have!)

I originally received this a gift for my daughter (she's now 8yrs old). I used it to help her get sleep which was a tough job. It helped tremendously. It is such soothing music, I used to fall asleep with her. I loved it! I now just purchased this for as a Baby Shower Gift. This is great CD to have for babies...You will not be disappointed with it.

My 3 year old and 8 month old love this CD! They listen to it to fall asleep for naps or for bedtime. We even played it in the middle of the night when our 8 month old used to wake up many times a night, and it helped a lot! We play it after our 3 year old has a nightmare and it helps calm her down and even fall back asleep quickly (and she doesn't have another nightmare after that for a while)! We love it! It's Christian, too, so that makes it even better!

I received the tape version of this CD when my son was born back in 1995. I played this for him every night and he slept peacefully. It calmed him and relaxed him. I went thru two tapes and now I am buying the CD. He is 9 years old now and he loves to fall asleep to this music. I would recommend this to anyone with children.

My daughter got this from the hospital for her oldest daughter and it is so great I buy it for every baby shower I go to or give. I love this. We took it on a trip with us and the grandbaby was grumpy, we put it in and she immediatley calmed down and went to sleep.

I purchased this CD when my boys were babies and loved it. It has since become a 'staple' purchase for baby showers! Lovely Christian songs gently blended with the sound of the heart beat in the womb, you can't go wrong! Highly recommend! (My original post was in 2008. I just purchased 3 more CD's for baby showers (Jan 2011). It is still my all-time favorite!)

I was given this C.D. by a friend who found out I had a baby with extreme colic. I used to cry along with my baby until I got this. It calmed both of us, and gave me peace during all those late night feedings and rocking in the rocking chair. I have since bought one for all the baby showers I go to, and new moms that are having fussy babies! I love it!

I LOVE this CD. I just wish it were longer and had more songs on it. Seems to end too soon and doesn't often fully relax my children before it cuts off, but, I still LOVE it. I use it for naps and bedtime for both of my children.
