Product Description

The Storacell Battery Caddy solves the problem of how to conveniently store your batteries in a compact and easy to find holder. Originally designed for pilots, the Battery Caddy is also great for photography, camping, travel or home use. The Battery Caddy is durable and break resistant and the slim and lightweight design makes it portable. There are no sharp edges to catch on clothing or bags. Storacell's patented locking system snaps batteries into place; batteries snap into place and remove easily. When ready to use, simply push the battery out with your thumb. Keep fresh batteries separate from used batteries by turning them in opposite directions. The Storacell Battery Caddy provides the best terminal protection at both ends. Batteries left rolling around in a drawer, bag or container have the potential to cause a fire. 9V batteries can be a hazard if the double terminal comes in contact with metal objects; an electrical spark can be created causing a fire. The Battery Caddy is great for a variety of uses including outdoor activities, photography bags, emergency kits, by emergency responders and for home organization. Batteries not included.

Best battery holder money can buy!!!
John P.
This holder keeps the batteries securely, preventing inadvertent shorting, and the bright yellow is easy to spot in a dark bag.

This product is very well made, well designed and it works perfectly.

I'm not one that writes reviews unless I'm very impressed with a product or I want to warn others of a problem with a product. In this case, I'm very impressed. Yes I know this is just a simple battery caddy and nothing glamorous.

I ordered this to hold and organized my rechargeable batteries for my Speedlights and to indicate charged and discharged batteries. This product is perfect and I'm going to order some more to hold AAA and CR123 batteries.

These are the key features:

- Made of strong, non-brittle plastic--it's rigid yet flexible
- Batteries are snapped into place firmly and will not fall out yet they can easily be removed
- Batteries can be inserted either way to indicate charged or discharged
- Batteries are protected from grounding or making contact when placed on a flat surface regardless which way you insert them

I have a few of these in various colors and battery sizes. The black 4-AA version I have really holds onto the batteries. This yellow 12-AA version isn't so tight, and the batteries glide more smoothly. I like this one better than the 4-AA black.

The version that holds various sizes (AA,AAA,9V,C) I don't like as much as this yellow 12-AA or the black 4-AA because it holds onto the batteries too tightly.

I also like this yellow 12-AA because it's one unit instead of 3 loose 4-AA versions. A good buy and I'm glad I bought it.

Does a GREAT job organizing batteries for a camera bag. No more digging, no more separating fresh from used batteries. Just slide used batteries in upside-down.

These powerpax are great battery holders that are simple, lightweight, and fuctional. They are constructed from a rugged polymer and are priced fairly. In addition, They are made in the USA and used by various branches of the military to power their two way radios and other electronic devices.

If you have a lot of electronics, chances are you are going to need batteries. If those electronics are portable and you carry them when you go out, then you need to have some sort of storage for them. Without proper storage, the batteries may be damaged from coming into contact with one another. These powerpax ensures they are safe while on the go.

You simply slide the battery into each slot; you will feel them lock into place, indicating that the battery is fully into its slot. You can put them in plus side up or down and get adequate production both ways. There is a little tooth on the top of each slot that locks each battery firmly in place and limits movement will in the caddy. Theere is almost no movement at all while in the case. However, they are also very easy to get up by simply pushing up and sliding the battery out.

Many battery cases sold on amazon and in stores have quality and function issues. These items just work and work extremely well. They are great for camping, camera bags, or just to stay organized around the house. powerpax caddys are great productions that I highly recommend.

I bought these to store my rechargeables in, of which I have a pretty good collection of mostly Eneloops, Duracell and Energizer cells.

All of them fit fine in the caddy and of the powerpax holders, I prefer the retention clip on this model over the other powerpax models which use a different style clip to keep the battery from sliding out of the holder. The reason I say this is because I find the other clip style has a tendency to snag and drag over a batteries outer jacket of the film that has the printing on it and it can eventually rip or tear that film, something that I find distasteful. These clips do drag over the cell too, but not as aggressively. The clip style on this holder is a little easier on the film wrapper with the manufacturer graphic on it and it retains the battery in the holder as well as the other models.

The fact that you can store the cells facing in either direction in the caddy is helpful in keeping charged cells easily identified from discharged cells if you face them in opposing directions.

My only real gripe with the design is the number of cells it holds. Consumer batteries are sold most in quantities of 4 or 8 and I personally prefer to buy packs of 8. This holder holds 12 cells so its kind of odd for me, if I buy an 8 pack of cells I'm short 4 cells to fill it or if I buy two 8 packs, I have 4 cells left over with no place to store them.

I really think an improvement to this holder would be if it held 16 cells. It reminds me similar to how may hotdogs come in a pack as compared to how many hotdog buns come in a pack, a slightly disproportionate ratio to how the consumer purchases products.

My only other gripe is the price.

As a photographer, I often deal with a myriad of batteries. When shooting in event situations, my primary concern is powering my speelights (2 Nikon SB-700's and 1 Nikon SB-900). I need to be able to changeout batteries very quickly both on and off camera.

The product is simple and very well constructed. Indestructible comes to mind. I highly recommend the yellow color as it is far easier to see at the bottom of a camera bag than the other colors.

I use a variety of the Powerpax including Storacell by Powerpax "AA" 12 Pack Battery Caddy, Yellow - Holds 12 "AA" Batteries, Storacell by Powerpax Slim Line "AA Battery Caddy, Orange - Holds 4 "AA" Batteries, and Storacell by Powerpax Slim Line "AA Battery Caddy, Military Green - Holds 4 "AA" Batteries. I typically carry the 12 pack AA holder in my pocket and attach the 4 pack AA holder to the light stand or clamp with the flash. This allows me to changeout quickly at the stand or have an assistant do the changeout.

If you are using disposable batteries, simply place the used batteries in your pocket until you can discard them. NEVER place them back in the holder, which I learned the hard way. If you are using batteries such as the
