Freezer and microwave safe.

Lids fit tight and go on and off well, no ripping and bottoms do not collapse like in cheaper containers.

Great for containing little things and sauces. It stacks really well when not in use but not good at all when covered and you have to place one container on top of the other in the freezer - the reason I bought them. It would be perfect if the round "button" of the lid is inverted to fit the bottom of the containers when stacked so that they sit securely instead of toppling over.

My baby started eating solids. Checked out the prices for pre-made purees, and decided it would be too costly and simple enough to make at home. Saw these at Wal-Mart ($2.28 for a pack of 8) and Target (also under $3 for a pack of 8) as I was doing price comparisons for baby food and decided to give them a try. They are the perfect size. I fill them a little less than half way now, and still have room to add more as he gets older. Freezer and microwave safe. I will update review if necessary once we start taking these out on the go and/or pack them for daycare to see if they leak, etc.

Updates:
They've held up like any other tuppaware. They freeze & thaw just fine. I haven't experienced any freezer burn. They clean easy enough.

The negatives so far are: if dropped when still frozen, the containers will crack. A couple of times a container has fallen out of the freezer when I opened the door because the freezer was overstuffed. But this happens with any plastic container. When dropped after completely thawed, it hasn't cracked.

If your contents aren't completely solid (a little bit on the watery side) it will leak slightly if tipped over to the side in your bag. But as long as they're stacked flat it's not an issue. With contents that have a thicker consistency this has not been an issue.

A long time ago I found a similar size/shape set of plastic lidded storage containers at a dollar store and quickly found them indispensable for making puddings and gelled desserts, which I do quite a bit. Over time I've broken or lost a couple, so I've been looking for more conainers like this and hoped these would be a good equivalent. But unlike my simpler dollar store find, the lids make the containers unstackable once assembled. That's a dealbreaker for home use. Others have mentioned this already, just adding to the chorus. Fridge space is a premium and being able to stack small cups like these is a real help.

The funny thing is, the flat simple lids on my dollar store set cling together just fine, and the cups nest fine, when not in use. The special raised block added to this design was completely unnecessary. Hopefully a redesign won't be too difficult or expensive.

I bought these because I had bariatric surgery and need to freeze a lot of food. They are the perfect size for me right now. I put either one ounce or two ounces of food in them and then stick them in the freezer. I microwave the food in the container for about a minute and I have a nice hot meal. They microwave well and freeze well. I haven't noticed any problems with food staining them. I love that the lids lock together. They are easily stackable! Love these containers!!

The only reason these get even two stars is because the Rubbermaid and oxo versions are literally six times the price. It doesn't seem that any other quality company makes a half-cup size.

I really can't stand the lids. I stick with ziploc for all the other sizes just because of the lids. The interlocking lids prevent the containers from stacking. I've scoured the Internet looking for a set with the "old" lids to no avail.

These little buttons in the center prevent you from stacking the containers. Makes it useless if you have a few of them and want to stack them in the fridge.

These half-cup containers are great for lunchboxes:
* Put salad dressing in them and not worry about it spilling as you open it
* Great for a kid-sized serving of yogurt from the big container
* Dipping sauce can be dipped into and not spilled
* Just a few chocolate kisses fit in here for a treat
* Keep those salad "extras" in here that you don't want on top of your lettuce all morning
* A little bit of cranberry sauce fits just right to go with that leftover turkey sandwich.

Keep a look out for these! You'll find more uses for them than you thought possible!

I have used these reusable-but-also-disposable containers for quite a while now. My attraction to them is because they are less expensive than a one-time-usage containers (and more environmentally friendly), are easy to clean, but if you lose one or throw it away it's a negligible financial loss. Of the brands I have used, Glad is probably the maker I like the most. (The reason is Glad's lid design is usually a little more robust, and they seem to crack less when exposed to freezing/super-hot temps.) Of the sizes I use, this mini 4-ounce size is without question my favorite...but not many makers are producing this kind of container in a smaller size such as this Glad, which is a major plus in my book.

Ever take a lunch to work and have a dipping, dressing, or oil sauce that you do not want to put on the food until right before you eat it? Or perhaps you have something like sloppy joe or shredded beef in which you want to put it on the bun only right before you eat as it will otherwise get soggy. I sure have! I've purchased the small disposable containers, but that adds up fast because you only use them once. After buying these 4-ounce Mini containers, I was hooked.

My primary usage of these are for smaller sides, dipping sauces, salad dressings, oils, and herbs/spices. They are very compact and easy fit in lunch bags. They do not take up excessive space in a fridge. And they hold up well so you can use them more than once. They allow me to take foods to my work that I otherwise would not take because the taste/texture changes when certain ingredients were combined long before eating (ex: ranch dressing on a chicken breast wrap makes the wrap soggy in about an hour.)

I also really like how these work great for microwaving, freezing, and high temps...
