As people look for more time and space in which to enjoy their lives, organization has become a priority. Manroe does an adequate job of explaining storage ideas in this well-illustrated book. However, Maxine Ordesky's The Complete Home Organizer (Grove/Atlantic, 1993) contains much of the same information and is a more comprehensive guide. Still, with few books combining practical advice on organizing the home with ideas for making it attractive as well, this would be a good addition for well-circulating collections.

This is really one of the better books on organizing/storing that I've ever purchased. Every idea has a photograph. The book is very large and the format is easy to read.
The chapters are divided by rooms of the house, so referencing an idea is easy. Many others I've seen are full of helpful hints, but in no particular order.

Many of the ideas are original, and several are just plain lovely, even decorative. If you have a lot of "stuff" to stow, this book has ways to put it just about everywhere in your house. The bathroom ideas are especially creative, not the same ideas I've seen in many of the other books.
