About the Author
Gerard Malanga, among the first occupants of Andy Warhol's Factory, has written about his city, New York, and his country, The United States. He also has proven to be an important intrepreter of European culture. His books have poetry have been published by Black Sparrow Press and he helped make photography a component of Pop Art. Over the past 30 years, Malanga's impressive body of work has included photographs of artists, musicians, and actors - some of these photographs of notable icons, have become part of the important fabric of American culture.
