This book is a must have, it contains short stories that are inspirational and remind us of Gods love and compassion and how his perfect wisdom can lead us down a more righteous path, reminding us to "love our neighbors as ourself." since the stories are short, you can read for a few minutes or a few hours. I would highly recommend this book.

Of the 10 books in the Stories for the Heart series in my collection to date, this one's my second favourite, after Stories for a Dad's Heart. These books really has the power to alter your view on life and relationships, reminding us on the transient nature of life on earth. I can testify to the fact that my perception of life has been changed for the better after reading these books, while putting my relationships with God and with others in the proper perspectives. Stories for a Faithful Heart contains some of the most touching stories I've ever read, bound to move even hardened hearts, I believe. This is especially true for stories under the Forgiveness section. Highly recommended for anyone needing a fresh view on life and a lift mentally and spiritually.

Stories for the Heart: Over 100 Stories to Encourage Your Soul Mr. Bisbee was the only seller that came through for me. I had ordered three different versions of this book. The other two versions were out of stock but my order had been placed and the charges (including shipping) appeared on my credit card. Mr. Bisbee even gave me a partial refund due to an inscription on the inside cover. I give Mr. Bisbee an A+ grade.

The story I selected to represent this inspirational book was about a disabled man who had a brilliant mind. Though he is incapacitated, he is a helpless sufferer. He conducts a cone-sided correspondence twice a week in which he puts his whole soul, all his faith, and optimism and also his wit. "No matter what our personal situation is, we still have...gifts and talents, experience, and encouragement we can share with others." We have expertise, even just a smile sometimes hits the spot.

My favorite poet, Longfellow: "Believe me, every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not -- and often times, we call a man cold, when he is only sad." My philosophy, also quoteth Longfellow: "...live from day to day in such a self-forgetful way...even when I kneel to pray, my prayer may be for others." It usually is.
