This is the second book in a series celebrating the Western short novel, a literary form that flourished during the heyday of American fiction magazines. Too short to stand alone and too long for most anthologies, many of these stories have been lost to Western fans. Included here are H. A. DeRosso's "Red Range", Les Savage, Jr.'s "The Six-Gun Sinner", and Elmer Kelton's "Long Ride, Hard Ride". The last two were eventually expanded by the authors for subsequent publication in book form.
