5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Book!
I love this book---and so do my children! (4 yrs old) It's my son's favorite book to choose his bedtime story from, and my daughter loves it as well. It's beautifully illustrated, and has a blue ribbon for a bookmark. The cover is padded and has rounded edges, which makes it even more appealing for little children. From start to finish, it's beautifully made...

1.0 out of 5 stars 2 good 2 bad stories for little boys
The Pinocchio (edited down very strange) and the Gingerbread Man in this book are just aweful stories. The castle and underground are very nice and liked very much by my 3 year old. There is a fith story, which I can't remember what it is off the top of my head. I don't know why these are called stores for little boys, because there is nothing special for boys about...

The following stories are included: Pinocchio, Under the Ground, In the Castle, The Emperor's New Clothes, and The Gingerbread Man. All wonderful stories that are perfect for bedtime. I highly recommend this book!

Like the book so much I would recommend it to anybody! The second reviewer already mentioned the stories that are in it.

My 2.5 year old son loves and cherishes this just as much as my 4 y/o girl loves "Stories for Little Girls". This is often chosen for a bedtime story, and I love reading them to him just as much as he loves listening. Thanks to Usbourne for compiling and illustrating yet another wonderful childrens book.

I am a Usborne books fan and have bought several titles of Usborne books including this one. This book is also a very good collection of stories - my kid liked the "Under the ground" which a thought provoking piece with beautiful illustrations of what are the things that can be found under the ground and really can make the children start thinking about it (i could see that my 3.5yr old son had a rapt attention during our first reading of this piece) and it also gives opportunity for children to ask many questions to their parents to really understand it. There the next favorite is "In the castle" - which my boy adored because of the illustrations and that he is a big fan of all things knights and sword fights :). Pinnochio was not very much liked though. The remaining 2 i have not yet read to my son but they look good too. Overall a good selection of stories some very good and some just good enough. I have been reading more verbose picture books to my 3.5yr old son already so for him this book could be a little less mature but nevertheless he likes it too but this will have been an apt book even when he was 2yrs old. Another book that he liked better and i bought almost at the same time as this one is Classic Stories for Little Children (Usborne Picture Storybooks) which my kid loves and has great classic stories retold in a very simple picture book manner.

There is a fith story, which I can't remember what it is off the top of my head. I don't know why these are called stores for little boys, because there is nothing special for boys about the selection. We are getting rid of it and buying the two stories that we like as separate books. Gave it one star because the book is too big and the story selection/editing stinks.
