Story gets in the way of otherwise enchanting astronomy lessons,
By
This review is from: Star Stories for Little Folks (Paperback)
I am usually the person who is all for a great little story to help teach. Sadly, this time around I simply could not bring myself to care for the characters--only the astronomy information brought around. Ms. Warner is an expert at explaining these concepts to children and I did love learning about the stars, when to find them, their histories, etc. Definitely a plus for this book. But why could not this have been pure expository text without the silly little story?
