Disappointing,

My 5-year-old daughter loves horses and unicorns, so this should have been a perfect book for her. But if you have a young, gentle child, I would think twice about this book. The first story is about a beauty pagaent in which one pony sabotages another pony. My daughter didn't even want me to finish the story because it was really quite mean. To me, this is a lazy author, who can't think of a plot without bullying. Of course the victimized pony wins in the end, but the other pony doesn't apologize for the behavior or learn a lesson. So what's the point of that story? The other two stories were OK. It's a very short book. It's too bad, though, because the pictures are wonderful and the paper is a nice quality.

Nice little book. Simple little lessons to be learned in life and I hope my daughter can use it later to learn to read.

A colorful world of magic ponies for young girls/boys to read and dream about. It is a very simple book to challenge new readers, but not too challenging so as discourage new readers.

My 4 yr old really enjoyed this book for a while. Stories are cute, pictures are pretty. Messages from the stories are good moral lessons. Seemed like some of the stories are a little truncated or feels like it was part of a series. Not sure my little one noticed that at all. Read it a lot when we first got it.
